Real talk Minecraft RTX is incredible
ID: hljfpveID: hljjcxeminecraft rtx remains incredible despite the contrast post processing and texture specular being bad af
rasterization can look great but youre not gonna be able to have a hall of mirros with it no matter how pretty your shaders are
ID: hljrokwThe only problem I have with your statement is the fact RTX shaders are super optimized compared to Java's for RTX GPUs. My 2070S and R7 3700x on medium-high java shaders chugs on even unmodded Minecraft.

Below ss is from a modded version right? No way it can look like that in vanilla MC.
ID: hlj2ifrYep! Beauty of Minecraft is the literal hundreds of ways to change the look and feel. You can pick a texture/shader mod that matches your tastes and your PC’s capabilities. Standard blocks are a 16x16 grid, but I had a nice one that was 512x512, and coupled with a mod for lighting and reflections, I had the best dang oak floors. There's 1024x1024 mod packs and beyond, but I found what looked good for me and worked with my specs.
Aaaand the downside is you got to update them every couple months. Something broke on my end at some point, went right back to vanilla.
ID: hlimppbIt's a shader. Pretty easy to install

all these companies doing such amazing jobs with their remastered versions

A remaster would actually be good (assuming they Change the Code)
Because for whatever fucking reason MC uses 1 core to run everything
ID: hliv5ixMinecraft bedrock runs amazing. I think it was rewritten in C++. If they added a mod API and the redstone worked the same I would switch to it from Java.
ID: hliwwo2thats the main reason why i prefer java 100x more.
Bedrock can run as good as it wants, but without mods minecraft really is just "eh" for me
ID: hljy110Without a mod api, what's the point? If all I wanted performance, I could just uninstall all mods and play at 240 fps.
ID: hliznl3Microsoft is still hoping people somehow get mass dementia and switch to Shitrock edition without mods and under Microsoft's control. They could have fixed the dogshit engine Java version is running on in 6 months after buying it but they just wanted the rights to an IP so they can peddle a forgery through their app store.
Also get Sodium and it's sibling mods, it becomes playable on 15 year old PCs no problem (no shaders tho, the poor thing would burn).
ID: hljmgj1Yeah this guy doesn't know what he's talking about. Microsoft has the same control over java.
ID: hljuh6nNot true. Sure the rendering pipeline is on 1 core, but the networking, IO, garbage collection, and some other minimal tasks are done on other cores. The game gets great FPS, no problem. OpenGL it's self is a synchronous API, so there's no way they could go multi-core anyways other then for logic, which is a very minimal part of minecraft.
ID: hljv76rThe game without mods runs good, but if you slap mods on there it just fucking suicides, espacilly with not so good cpu's. on my old 4820k i could easily get upto 120 Fps in stuff like overwatch, Facotorio and the likes modpacks? maybe 60 if i play with lowest render distance
ID: hljygljlogic, which is a very minimal part of minecraft
I weep for those who have never experienced the beauty of kitchen sink modpacks.

My PC is burning right now

I don't even get it? Isn't enabling a bunch of mods that make the game look better just a different way to remaster? I wonder what the top one looks like compared to unmodded.
ID: hlkk20kYes but you don't have to pay for it.

Just rename Minecraft to Minecraft: Definitive Edition
-
Realistic Minecraft looks so fucking good

This is perfection

*rockstar tried to remaster Minecraft
-
I can't even pick up Minecraft without my go to shader pack. It loses all of its peacefulness and depth without it

“Minecraft IS real”

Lol

no it isn't, contrast, post-processing, and texture specular are bad af, java's shader are way better
