- This new sony Patent shows a new Ps Vita or the largest controller in history
-
That's gotta be a phone accessory.
ID: hmbwxax -
It's a phone accessory. You can see the usb-c port outlined.
ID: hmbl4yqAlso I doubt it's new...the controller itself is clearly built off a DS4, not a DS5
ID: hmblqm7I agree, but if it does come to market this might make sense since it's likely meant to play older titles from a stream or android titles. Unless they wanted to update some of the design language of the controller to be in line with ds5 which could still be a possibility.
ID: hmbxhw4Good eye, but patent drawings aren’t always representative of final product design.
Often, they just have a basic layout for technical legal purposes to get the point across.

100% PS Now coming to Android and Apple, and this is the controller they gonna sell with a 6 months PS Now subscription
-
Smartphone
-
I cant wait for them to release all the good games in Japan only, abandon it, and have it become the next biggest "homebrew" console in existence.
-
No shot its bigger than the gamecube keyboard controller
-
A revamped PSNow is incoming! I guess this is an accessory controller like the joy-cons for phones?
-
Long boy
-
Probably some phone gaming bs
ID: hmb5p6uWe don’t make jokes about that xD
ID: hmbncfjDidn't seem like a joke. Almost guaranteed that this is a wrap-around for a phone. Would be nice for RetroArch on Android.
-
Idk but it looks very bad. Lol
-
And here we see Sony kinda copying Nintendo again
-
I mean. It probably would work.
-
I'm having war flash backs to the PSP.
-
Controooooooooooooller
Doesn't the patent describe what the numbers are? eg. is 53 a screen, a panel or a phone holder?
-
I wonder how narrow they had to draft this patent given the litany of other products that already use this “viewing screen placed between two holdable controllers” model. It’s not even a design patent… how could this possibly be unobvious?
-
It’s a touch screen controller with a retro button designed skin…..
-
Switch killer
-
It’s hard to trust Sony on a handheld lvl after they binned the vita with like 5 games that actually used its full potential.
-
If you think thays the longest controller in history then you should see the one where its a controller and a key board all in one

Wonder if new Sony phones will come with RDNA 2 graphics core since Samsung have it. Previous Sony used Qualcomm.
