It’s nice to see this indie game get a win after the bullshit Hazelight has had to deal with recently.
ID: ho0d2hxThank you. This made me feel so much better.

"Cutie the elephent"
"Family game"
ID: hnzg97gPeople who know...
ID: ho0crh2Cody and may cheering when their daughter is crying
ID: ho0g9d0Our jaws were just hanging open during that whole scene. I thought my gf was going to start crying.
ID: ho02oucMy son cried at this point and I felt very bad as his stuffed animal was always his blue elephant lol... (he's had that thing since day 1 and he is 9 years old now)

This game was absolutely incredible
ID: hnzghpiOn a side note, what was EA like towards development of this game? And I feel like this wasnt meant to be a go big or go home push like most EA games that involve all their "weight" to make a billion dollars.
ID: hnzsqykIts part of the EA originals program. Its actually really friendly towards developers. I have no idea why EA runs this program but I'm not complaining
ID: hnya49bFact.
ID: hnyffgrAgreed. It's such an amazing game imo

Now will developers finally realize that we want couch Co-Op!? Not every gamer is a 12 year old with access to Mom's credit card for loot boxes. Some of us want to play games with our partners in the same room.
ID: hnycan8AAA industry: Sorry, did you say “Will developers finally realize that we want access to loot boxes?” Say no more!
ID: hnymnisWe call those 'surprise mechanics' in the industry.
ID: hnydc13Wait, you guys have partners?
ID: hnyhnvwIt's DLC. You have to grind a bunch and there's a lot of RNG.
ID: hnyfi0eI do hope couch co op games are more common /fruquent in the near future.
ID: hnzcfo8It Takes Two sold 3 million copies. Not too bad.
Lootbox revenue was $20,000,000,000 last year.
I don't want to say I'm pessimistic, buuuuutt....
ID: hnycnw5This is actually my wife and I's date night of choice. Almost every Friday our date night consists of playing a chapter of this game. It is so much fun!

Isnt this game about divorce and the emotional trauma it leaves on the child? Do we really call that a family fun game?
ID: ho0dw9iDefinitely wouldn’t say 100% family friendly. I had to skip all the cut scenes because of the language. Gameplay was fun though.

Well deserved

Family game? Did you watch the fucking elephant scene?
I loved the game. My GOTY, but holy shit that was hard to watch.
ID: hnzkkp3My wife and I were playing through that like “haha, we’re not actually going to do that, something’s going to happen.” Then, “oh my god we’re actually doing this,” and then staring open mouthed, “what did we do”

I haven't played this. And i feel out of the loop. Can someone bring me up to speed on why this game is awesome? Thanks
ID: hnybxogOne of the main selling points is that the game is strictly co-op in order as the story’s sole focus is the relationship between the 2 main characters. This allows them to try entirely new mechanics out each level that are all unique and fun to experiment with. That’s about as much as I can say without going into spoilers but if you have somebody to play local definitely try this game out. Don’t have anyone who can come over but can still play online? The game comes with a free code that you can send to another person so that they can get the entire game for free!
TLDR: the game is an amazing co-op experience with great story and creative mechanics through out.
ID: hny9xuyI played this with my cousins, it has great graphics and makes for a great family game. It is funny and wholesome. You have to work as a team to get through the levels and you can mess around.
ID: hnyphv8Possible one of the best experiences you can have with a partner. Not gonna lie, if you a man you probs gonna want to find a female friend to play through it with, but that is by no means to say it isn't just a straight up great two player experience regardless; but the story and struggles will definitely hit close to home for any relationship or bond. The game allows you to explore its lovingly crafted world, and allows you to explore and pursue experiences and interactions both with your partner, and your characters. This game hits heavy with nostalgia for most 30+ with lots of oldschool tech and memorabilia featured proudly, giving the game an every so quicky but wholesome vibe about how objects and the environment can be interacted with.
Honestly.. I can't do it justice. Just play the damned game.
ID: hnyg012Its a must try! Had soo much fun
ID: hnzxcnuIt has very clever and satsfying game mechanics + a very pixary tone.

I liked psychonauts 2 more. But this maybe finally shows we want couch co op
-
Take that take two!!!! Well deserved !!!
-
We need more couch co-op and I mean need. 1 tv, two people. We buy any couch co-op game that comes out and then wait what feels like forever for the next one.
-
Fuck the Oscars!
-
Very well deserved
-
Personally never played but I’m happy
Just wished psychonauts 2 would have won it was such a good game
ID: hnya3g8You should give it a go, you won't regret it
ID: hny4ca6At the very least it should have won Art Direction
ID: hny4ny6Yeah still hurts that psychonauts 2 didn’t get any wins
-
This game reminds me of little big planet
-
Just bought it yesterday to play with my girlfriend any tips or things I should know?
ID: hnzreixPlay as the girl, because later you get the hammer and you can just bonk the other players head over and over, funny as hell
-
Should I play? We have game pass
ID: hnzr8r8Definitely
-
YOU CAN RIDE FROGS?! I NEED THIS GAME!!!
-
Me and my 5 year old son played through this game recently. It's the first game I've beaten in decades. It's that good.
-
The most creative and sincere COOP game since Tale of Two Sons.
