Near the climax of RE: Village, it is revealed that Mother Miranda served as a mentor to Oswell Spencer, the founder of Umbrella, and even inspired him to go on to create the Progenitor Virus.
RE: 5 shows Wesker finally tracking Spencer down, learning his secrets, and ultimately killing him.
I wonder if Wesker ever became aware of Miranda through Spencer, and if he went to visit her himself. Would be interesting if he based Uroboros somewhat off of the mold.
-
It's definitely an interesting thought. I would assume that he did, since Spencer though of Miranda as a mentor and thought highly of her, so naturally he had to have spoken or written about her, even if it's just in private.
-
....I now wonder if Miranda knew about Wesker.
Eh... Think about that one.

Miranda saving Spencer implies there was a time, relatively recently, where she had regard for human life and cared if someone were to die
ID: howm0ykWell, she also used to protect the villagers and take care of all their needs only to slaughter them when she no longer needed them, adopted Donna Beneviento after her parents died and then infected her with the Cadou, and gave Lady Dimitrescu three children, except they can't leave the castle because they are allergic to the cold. How nice of her.
All of her 'gifts' and friendly gestures were poisoned and treacherous, so I doubt saving Spencer implies anything. Surely she helped him with the intention to use him, infect him or feed him to the Dimitrescu women, originally. But he turned out to be as fucked up as she was, so they ended up becoming partners in crime instead.
ID: howzv9sSO Miranda is basically the NUrgle of Resident Evil. She loves and cares for everyone and considers infected them all with parasites and diseases as a gifts.

Now I want ridiculous "What If" game where super powered Matrix Wesker is trying to hunt down Mother Miranda. You know, kinda like Village but its third person action beat' em up game with unlocking new move sets. 3 campaigns, each with different playable character class: warrior (Wesker), sorcerer (Miranda) and thief (Ada in bird doctor costume and with set of two knives and a crossbow). Also there is unlockable final boss (Chris)
ID: hovwg9hSounds like a cool idea but knowing RE fans, they gonna hate it because it isn’t Outbreak or with fixed Camera Angles
ID: howmcu1I’m sorry! It’s an addiction!
ID: howxfjtYou god damn right!
ID: howya14Or with zombies.
Like god, can you imagine an RE without zombies? It's like Zelda without the Master Sword or Final Fantasy without crystals.
Oh wait.....
-
While he may or may not have known about Miranda, he almost certainly knew about the Mold. The E-Type B.O.W. was a joint project between H.C.F. and The Connections, who Miranda also worked closely with. It's possible they could've even met.
-
Didn't Alcina also already have the Cadou when Spencer found the villlage? The possibilities just keep growing.
Wesker: "So how does you meeting a vampire milf lead to the T-Virus?" Spencer: "We get there when we get there!"
-
I kinda don’t like how they just shoehorned in Mother Miranda with Spencer.
ID: hovw3l7I think it could’ve worked, but the whole immortal lady that was into “BOWs”/virus gained powers before spencer was meh. I like to think spencer and co were the head bad guys. “Nope! There was a lady who found a mold and became immortal super smart scientist lady with super powers before him!”
Spencer was just a normal dude, evil genius kinda dude but still just a dude. That’s the true terror
ID: how5k8dMiranda is/was also just a woman. Her BOW/monster form just happens to have more mental and physical control than others. There’s plenty of bad guys in the series who were just normal people and then became monsters before you fight them
-
Eh, not really a fan of the re7 and 8 stories.
The stories don’t feel like they have any setup from previous games. They’re good contained stories but, blue umbrella came completely outta nowhere and mother Miranda connected to spencer seems written on the spot and half assed.
Also Heisenberg strait up had telekinesis with Metal. How?
Side note: now that I think about it, what if wesker did know Miranda because she was actually the “other organization” he was working with, then stole the mold to combine and make uroboros. If that’s the setup, I take everything back haha.
ID: hoxhz62Apparently heisenberg mutated to mimic some lizard or eel that interacted with magnetic fields. Turn that up to resident evil anime level and he’s magneto
ID: hoz5nv8After being infected he grew a new organ that could generate electricity. His mutant form was based off of some sort of caterpillar.
ID: hoxgxqsAlso Heisenberg strait up had telekinesis with Metal. How?
That was the Cadou. Each lieutenant was infected with it and each of them reacted differently to it, with Heisenberg being the one with the most positive results if I remember correctly.

No, because she's a massive retcon pulled out of their asses
-
He might have heard of her.
-
Wasn't Uroboros based on Las Plaga?
ID: hoxagnlNo it was based on the Progenitor virus along with the help of some anti bodies found in Jill from her T Virus infection cure. The Plagas were adapted further and used to make profit to allow for further development of Uroboros. It was just a means to an end. Uroboros was the real ultimate Bioweapon Wesker wanted to develop using all his stolen samples and research from the previous 10+ years
-
He would probably trying to kill her. He was an collosal embecille, a fool who wants to destroy the whole world after all lol
ID: hoxajhcHe was also your father
ID: hoxdrvvI'm proud my father is killed by that boulder punching asshole..
-
He died before the writers created her...so no.
ID: hox97uySo did Spencer…
-
I find that revelation incredibly hard to accept as canon lol.
well it is whether you like it or not!
Ik, just feels like fanfiction
ID: howt0xnI agree, and of course the true answer to OP’s question is “no, because she didn’t exist at all when any of Wesker’s stuff was written.”
You can try and force those square pegs into round holes, but honestly, we’re 25 years into this franchise. That they’re still trying to pull, “oh actually, X was the secret mastermind behind our previous secret mastermind reveal!” is pretty grating.
ID: hoz6253Not exactly fanfic but more like “her character didn’t exist then when the other games were made” sort of thing. It’s kind of like The Elder Scrolls games when it comes to ESO.
-
it's a thinker
-
I assume he did he spent a lot of time around Spenser I can image how much Spencer looked up to Miranda
-
Wesker had his hand in a lot of things and was very well versed in all things involving viruses and other biological weaponry.
So I'm sure he knew of Miranda and the mold
-
I was wondering that to. If he knew about her wouldn’t her try to get a sample of the mold or something? Then again he would probably back off upon realizing how strong she is.
-
I don’t think they met but the Wesker project kids (Alex and Albert) look like Miranda so it seems Spencer based their looks off of Miranda.

I don’t think she’d be too pleased about the world becoming infected by Uroboros
