ID: hr3bdu1I use one, but on PC. It’s my favorite controller. I don’t know if it’s worth $160, but it’s definitely the best for me.

But if feels great to use, being able to change stick tension and sticks is great. If you have the extra money to drop on it, it’s a GOOD controller, but it’s a hefty price

ID: hr3o14bI'm on my 5th or 6th now. They tend to break pretty easily but when they work they are great. Get the extended warranty.
ID: hr3viw1Barely used mine before the A button became extremely mushy and one of the triggers randomly doesn't accept input/thinks there's input where there isn't any. And I BABY my controllers, stored this thing in it's included case when not in use.
Highly recommend looking elsewhere or buy at a deep discount with an extended warranty.
Honestly, the sticks in the newest Xbox controllers feel better than these too.
ID: hr44pcyAbsolutely overpriced. Absolutely the best controller I've ever used in my life.Mileage may vary regarding durability.
The only wear and tear on my Elite v1 (bought mid-2016) is during long play sessions the RB will press down softly rather than with a click (if you're familiar with mechanical keyboards, it's like the difference between a tactile vs clicky switch). Face buttons are still 100%, back buttons are 100%, sticks have no drift, all inputs are correct and responsive.
Others have had more severe issues though, so a 1-year or more extended replacement warranty probably would be a good idea if you want to play it safe.
ID: hr4ijcxThey break very quickly from what I've read. And judging by my experience with the Elite 1, I believe it. Mine broke twice.
ID: hr4p35nHad mine for about 7 months, very light usage always kept it clean and had a safe spot for it after use. It got stick drift, the A and B buttons turned into mush and stopped working, the right bumber stopped working, it basically became an unusable piece of trash in half a year. Been using a standard 360 controller that I've had for 15 years and it works flawlessly.
ID: hr4zu9cIf you don’t mind a wired controller, look into the power A fusion controller. Half the cost and are very solid. They have four paddles on the back that can be remapped to any button on the controller.

ID: hr43volI've been using an Elite v1 as my main controller for over 5 years, and at this point I'd never go back to using a controller that doesn't have back buttons as my go-to.
I don't even play anything competitive, I just love being able to use both thumbsticks while still being able to press buttons. Makes it much easier / smoother to do things like fighting without target lock in Dark Souls.

I thought about getting it, then I saw the price tag. Ooof.
Ended up getting a razor on sale for 30 from 80. It's wired (which I prefer. Fuck batteries) and I love it.

Don't believe the lies,within 10 months this controller was hooped. I've never thrown a controller or abused one. No kids around to tamper with em either. The left and right bumper stopped working properly as well as the a button. My friend also has this controller with similar issues.

Hang onto that receipt- if there was any kind of mix up because holiday super busy season, you'll want documentation so the seller can't try and screw you over.

If the problems with that controller weren't fixed then "free" is just about how much it worth.
I tried that controller and after trying three different ones, none had consistently working face buttons.
They were all new, all sealed, all from a different batch.

Count the days until the controller starts malfunctioning, They're notorious.
Mine doesn't get heavy use but it took less than a year for the bumpers to start double inputting, face buttons constantly dropping inputs and stick bouncing to the other direction.
Side note, both my PS5 controllers sticks are fucked up. Again not heavy use, primarily use KB&M. I take care of my shit, these new controllers are ridiculous.
