I'm gonna go check my gamestop right now

ID: hr1p31d

Going to assume OPS gamestop had way too many of this game turned,if this is real. Least it isn't as bad as fallout 76, where one store was giving away 2 copies when you bought a pair of thumb stick Covers.

ID: hr1qqhj

could very well be a fuck up. prop should be $49.99.

ID: hr1qlcl

lol my GameStop was giving away fallout 76 with the purchase of any pre owned game. Funny part is many people rejected it still.

ID: hr1qadn

Thumb. Stick. Covers. What??

ID: hr1v07a

Just checked the website and they still listing listing it around $30-$35+ so this image must have been from a extremely special circumstance exclusive to OP's store.

ID: hr1wlto

Most likely a pricing mistake

3 : Anonymous2022/01/03 02:37 ID: hr0s4dm

Think about all those people who paid $100+ for the deluxe edition with the head start....

F

With that said, at this price I'd probably go back and play it.

ID: hr0sgs3

Well they got their head start so they got with they paid for lol

ID: hr1g9d2

I got the ultimate edition like a damn potato. My worst purchase of 2021 by a long shot.

I had not played or followed news of a battlefield game since BF3. I should have know better either way

ID: hr1n3kg

The rules are easy.

Do not preorder games. Wait a month until after release for independent reviews. Do not buy from EA, Ubisoft, Activision, etc.
4 : Anonymous2022/01/03 06:42 ID: hr1lgjv

This is a brand new AAA title. Wow. I'm honestly shocked. The state of the video game industry is alarming.

ID: hr1ynr6

The talent crisis is well known at this point.

Talent doesn't want to work for shit wages Abuse is wide known And now it's well known by the younger lot that working in games Dev is just awful the talented ones look to other jobs.

This basically only leaves a lot of chaff entering the industry and same people just in rotation.

The good news is a lot of talent is going to Indy studios so we are nowhere in a industry regression it's just we going to see a lot of garbage from AAA games until they start buying up the Indy studios again

ID: hr216v2

Indie studios is the go to these days, the stuff indie games pull off is mind boggling. The only real shame is the lack of scope and budget that these studios can pull off. I really wish the funding and manpower was there for them.

ID: hr208rc

Let’s hope they don’t buy the indie studios. I’m sick of the super rich controlling everything these days.

5 : Anonymous2022/01/03 03:42 ID: hr10zau

God I’m out of the loop… is the game really that bad?

ID: hr1i6nu

It's pretty fucking bad. No one even streams this shit because it's boring as fuck to watch.

If it's any indication of how bad it is, people are going BACK to BFV

ID: hr1l9g6

And the real ones never left BF1 ツ

ID: hr1qr5g

They literally made a modern FPS game without a scoreboard, persistent lobbies that don't kick you after the match, lifetime career stats like tracking kills and objectives, and even fucking VOICE CHAT wasn't included, all in the name of reducing "toxicity" online.

They basically chose not to include pretty much every feature that has become standard, not just in Battlefield games, but across the entire FPS genre. The end result is probably the worst online shooter in the last decade. But of course it is the player's fault for not liking it, they are just being toxic and "review bombing" the game, instead of the much more likely option that the primary audience of your game just didn't like your shitty changes.

ID: hr1vzuy

How's the single player?

6 : Anonymous2022/01/03 03:01 ID: hr0vekd

Its better to buy it used or when it is at a massive discount. You just saved a lot of money

ID: hr0vvvc

Agreed, I didn’t plan on buying it, was looking for a game for wife and saw that and asked about it and they said it got discounted this morning, I would be dumb not to buy it for 5 buckaroos lol

ID: hr1soag
7 : Anonymous2022/01/03 03:15 ID: hr0xcjl

Honestly for $5 it’s a lot of fun.

But man EA destroys everything they touch

Edit: To everyone mentioning DICE, I agree they are also at fault. But it’s the suits that make decisions not developers

ID: hr16g2p

At what point do we blame dice for fucking it up?

ID: hr1cfaj

Apprently never. Dice is equally to blame for this. They know damn well what they released. Upper Management wants their pay checks just as much as the execs at EA want.

Hire a bunch of inexperienced/young developers (or contract the work out to foreign countries) and pay them peanuts to develop an AAA game then sell it and laugh all the way to the bank.

ID: hr170qs

Praise the devs for the good things and attack the publishers for the bad things /j

ID: hr1h58v

DICE is still riding BF4. They’re not a good dev, literally all they do is battlefield and battlefield adjacent titles and they can’t even get that right.

ID: hr1qxor

Jedi Fallen Order was great.

ID: hr1yjym

Except It Takes Two apparently.

8 : Anonymous2022/01/03 06:16 ID: hr1izyu

NFT is being rejected by Ubisoft players, generic army shooter is being ignored, Blizzard continues to die, 2022 is looking good

ID: hr1s2s5

I too await the gaming revolution with excitement.

ID: hr27fba

We are there. It's happening now. Indie companies are getting comfortable budgets and making good money (on PC at least). Look at Coffee Stain productions and all the games they produce. All excellent games.

I think we'll look back and agree that the revolution began as early as 2020 or 2019. Blizzard and the "don't you guys have phones?", EA with "a feeling of pride and accomplishment" justifying the ridiculous grind and mtx, the new Halo (enough said), etc. The backlash toward AAA gaming has hit a point of general volatility and momentum. People are fucking tired of the predatory practices.

ID: hr1s2w0

I just watched the trailer for Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne again the other day… holy shit what happened to Blizzard over the years? They were amazing back then… now they only produce cash grabs.

ID: hr1t4j6

1 word. Activision.

Actually scratch that.

Money.

Actually no... two words.

Activision and Money.

9 : Anonymous2022/01/03 09:14 ID: hr1xveg

GameStop employee here.

Short version: Weekly ad printout goofed and got you a great price. Same sticker printed at our store but we checked prices in the system and it was wrong.

ID: hr25xq5

I’m baffled that so many people actually believe this was intentional. No, GameStop didn’t take 92% off this 2 month old game just because you didn’t like it

ID: hr2he3l

It's already 54% cheaper on German Amazon...

10 : Anonymous2022/01/03 04:58 ID: hr1amso

Second battlefield I've tried and I was massively disappointed

11 : Anonymous2022/01/03 02:37 ID: hr0s3gg

Good start to 2022 I would say.

12 : Anonymous2022/01/03 12:28 ID: hr2d94s

I bought it for $15 a few weeks ago and uninstalled the game last night. I just couldn't have fun with it. I honestly regret paying $15 for it. My hope is that it will somehow get better in a year or something

13 : Anonymous2022/01/03 05:20 ID: hr1d58j

At this point, AAA is more of a warning than a sign of quality.

14 : Anonymous2022/01/03 06:02 ID: hr1hlvv

Fun to kill massive amounts of bots yahoo

15 : Anonymous2022/01/03 04:00 ID: hr13ee7

I hear it's trash, that's a god damn shame. I just ran across my old install discs for Battlefield Vietnam and 1942 the other day. Thought about firing it up, those were both superb. So many hours at El Alamein.

ID: hr1pf6f

Fire it up, I've still got it and still play multilayer! As well as the good old AI local games.

16 : Anonymous2022/01/03 02:39 ID: hr0scgl

Surprised pikachu face

17 : Anonymous2022/01/03 13:13 ID: hr2hpbv

Still feel like it’s overpriced…

18 : Anonymous2022/01/03 04:25 ID: hr16ox5

Because words already out and they have no intention of spending money to make it good. They need to save to spend more on marketing for their next game that they're barely working on.

19 : Anonymous2022/01/03 05:15 ID: hr1cmvr

My friend pre ordered lmao

20 : Anonymous2022/01/03 09:23 ID: hr1yjdd

Good purchase, $4.99 for a paper weight is an okay deal.
