- That was fast, definitely bought it though
-
I'm gonna go check my gamestop right now
ID: hr1p31dID: hr1qqhjcould very well be a fuck up. prop should be $49.99.
ID: hr1qlcllol my GameStop was giving away fallout 76 with the purchase of any pre owned game. Funny part is many people rejected it still.
ID: hr1qadnThumb. Stick. Covers. What??
ID: hr1v07aJust checked the website and they still listing listing it around $30-$35+ so this image must have been from a extremely special circumstance exclusive to OP's store.
ID: hr1wltoMost likely a pricing mistake
-
Think about all those people who paid $100+ for the deluxe edition with the head start....
F
With that said, at this price I'd probably go back and play it.
ID: hr0sgs3Well they got their head start so they got with they paid for lol
ID: hr1g9d2I got the ultimate edition like a damn potato. My worst purchase of 2021 by a long shot.
I had not played or followed news of a battlefield game since BF3. I should have know better either way
ID: hr1n3kgThe rules are easy.
Do not preorder games. Wait a month until after release for independent reviews. Do not buy from EA, Ubisoft, Activision, etc. -
This is a brand new AAA title. Wow. I'm honestly shocked. The state of the video game industry is alarming.
ID: hr1ynr6The talent crisis is well known at this point.
Talent doesn't want to work for shit wages Abuse is wide known And now it's well known by the younger lot that working in games Dev is just awful the talented ones look to other jobs.
This basically only leaves a lot of chaff entering the industry and same people just in rotation.
The good news is a lot of talent is going to Indy studios so we are nowhere in a industry regression it's just we going to see a lot of garbage from AAA games until they start buying up the Indy studios again
ID: hr216v2Indie studios is the go to these days, the stuff indie games pull off is mind boggling. The only real shame is the lack of scope and budget that these studios can pull off. I really wish the funding and manpower was there for them.
ID: hr208rcLet’s hope they don’t buy the indie studios. I’m sick of the super rich controlling everything these days.
-
God I’m out of the loop… is the game really that bad?
ID: hr1i6nuIt's pretty fucking bad. No one even streams this shit because it's boring as fuck to watch.
If it's any indication of how bad it is, people are going BACK to BFV
ID: hr1l9g6And the real ones never left BF1 ツ
ID: hr1qr5gThey literally made a modern FPS game without a scoreboard, persistent lobbies that don't kick you after the match, lifetime career stats like tracking kills and objectives, and even fucking VOICE CHAT wasn't included, all in the name of reducing "toxicity" online.
They basically chose not to include pretty much every feature that has become standard, not just in Battlefield games, but across the entire FPS genre. The end result is probably the worst online shooter in the last decade. But of course it is the player's fault for not liking it, they are just being toxic and "review bombing" the game, instead of the much more likely option that the primary audience of your game just didn't like your shitty changes.
ID: hr1vzuyHow's the single player?
-
Its better to buy it used or when it is at a massive discount. You just saved a lot of money
ID: hr0vvvcAgreed, I didn’t plan on buying it, was looking for a game for wife and saw that and asked about it and they said it got discounted this morning, I would be dumb not to buy it for 5 buckaroos lol
ID: hr1soag -
Honestly for $5 it’s a lot of fun.
But man EA destroys everything they touch
Edit: To everyone mentioning DICE, I agree they are also at fault. But it’s the suits that make decisions not developers
ID: hr16g2pAt what point do we blame dice for fucking it up?
ID: hr1cfajApprently never. Dice is equally to blame for this. They know damn well what they released. Upper Management wants their pay checks just as much as the execs at EA want.
Hire a bunch of inexperienced/young developers (or contract the work out to foreign countries) and pay them peanuts to develop an AAA game then sell it and laugh all the way to the bank.
ID: hr170qsPraise the devs for the good things and attack the publishers for the bad things /j
ID: hr1h58vDICE is still riding BF4. They’re not a good dev, literally all they do is battlefield and battlefield adjacent titles and they can’t even get that right.
ID: hr1qxorJedi Fallen Order was great.
ID: hr1yjymExcept It Takes Two apparently.

NFT is being rejected by Ubisoft players, generic army shooter is being ignored, Blizzard continues to die, 2022 is looking good
ID: hr1s2s5I too await the gaming revolution with excitement.
ID: hr27fbaWe are there. It's happening now. Indie companies are getting comfortable budgets and making good money (on PC at least). Look at Coffee Stain productions and all the games they produce. All excellent games.
I think we'll look back and agree that the revolution began as early as 2020 or 2019. Blizzard and the "don't you guys have phones?", EA with "a feeling of pride and accomplishment" justifying the ridiculous grind and mtx, the new Halo (enough said), etc. The backlash toward AAA gaming has hit a point of general volatility and momentum. People are fucking tired of the predatory practices.
ID: hr1s2w0I just watched the trailer for Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne again the other day… holy shit what happened to Blizzard over the years? They were amazing back then… now they only produce cash grabs.
ID: hr1t4j61 word. Activision.
Actually scratch that.
Money.
Actually no... two words.
Activision and Money.

GameStop employee here.
Short version: Weekly ad printout goofed and got you a great price. Same sticker printed at our store but we checked prices in the system and it was wrong.
ID: hr25xq5I’m baffled that so many people actually believe this was intentional. No, GameStop didn’t take 92% off this 2 month old game just because you didn’t like it
ID: hr2he3lIt's already 54% cheaper on German Amazon...
-
Second battlefield I've tried and I was massively disappointed
-
Good start to 2022 I would say.
-
I bought it for $15 a few weeks ago and uninstalled the game last night. I just couldn't have fun with it. I honestly regret paying $15 for it. My hope is that it will somehow get better in a year or something
-
At this point, AAA is more of a warning than a sign of quality.
-
Fun to kill massive amounts of bots yahoo
-
I hear it's trash, that's a god damn shame. I just ran across my old install discs for Battlefield Vietnam and 1942 the other day. Thought about firing it up, those were both superb. So many hours at El Alamein.
ID: hr1pf6fFire it up, I've still got it and still play multilayer! As well as the good old AI local games.
-
Surprised pikachu face
-
Still feel like it’s overpriced…
-
Because words already out and they have no intention of spending money to make it good. They need to save to spend more on marketing for their next game that they're barely working on.
-
My friend pre ordered lmao
-
Good purchase, $4.99 for a paper weight is an okay deal.

Going to assume OPS gamestop had way too many of this game turned,if this is real. Least it isn't as bad as fallout 76, where one store was giving away 2 copies when you bought a pair of thumb stick Covers.
