I got it for free with village when it first came out and now it’s just sitting on my PlayStation Home Screen waiting for release
ID: hsnaxmdIt wasn't "for free". You paid for it by buying RE:Village, which had a higher price than most new (AAA) releases. It was advertised as a bundle in order to pump up the price.

Why the hell do they keep releasing games like this when they KNOW the majority of us dedicated fans want an Outbreak reboot? These death-match/PVP spin offs are just awful and uninspired.

I am really tired of these reused assests being packeged into a new game mode. Even RE4 have extra game modes that gaves us new assests such as the Ada missions and the Mercenaries modes, playing as Krauser was badass. The new RE game modes just couldn't bother with any of that, everything is ripped from the main game.

So disappointing. No one cares for this. Give us Code Veronica X Remake instead of making fans do it for you. Remake Outbreak already and expand the engine into building out all of those beautiful and wasted assets of the city. I truly don’t get when product designers and stakeholders make flip decisions that have nothing to connect with fans interest. They are wondering why sales on Resistance were low, but do no market research to see what fans are really looking for.

Capcom, it's not hard to Make a fun multilayer resident evil...
make it RE5/RE6/RE2
style mercenaries with at least 2 levels from EVERY resident evil 0- village.load it with characters and enemies from all games.
add on the versus from re5 and the other gimmiks from re6.
let the player choose weapon layout based on what they grab from beating a level

Not really worth the man power but itll probably be out with the village DLC im guessing.
At least its a different team so its not taking time from other projects like remakes or village DLC.

Like if it was a mix of ORC, the beta level, and resistance all in one you’d have an MP RE that actually stands at chance at existing for a while. Especially if you can unlock cool costumes or prestige’s for leveling up or going on insane kill streaks (NO, not buy the cool skins, earn them for replayability and flexing) I could totally see it going somewhere

I wish they'd stop these weird one offs, they always have some glaring flaw.. or flaws, many many flaws, and being a spin off it almost never has the amount of charm needed to cover for the flaws.
Like yeah, if an amazing idea gets to Capcoms desk, go for it, but I feel like they take any okayish idea and then not fund it enough to be a polished and fun experience. It's usually a half effort for half a good idea.
Shout out to ORC though, I hated the regular game, but I could play the "heroes" pvp game mode all day for weeks.

What is the reverse. I only saw it before when I played re8. I don't understand what it's supposed to be? Is it like a compendium of old resident evils? Like access them all in one spot?

Honestly I'd love for more multiplayer Resident Evil.
I got into the fanbase after most of the multiplayer offerings on PC died, so I was really looking forward to the chance of this one.
Plus I get to play as Hunk.
