i think re3 is a game that you either hate or you love. i do love the plot and the timeline and how it mixes in with re2. and i think the ending is absolutely phenomenal. but it’s just too short, feels more like a re2 dlc. does anyone agree?

I like it, and I enjoy replaying it.
But it feels like something has been cut, right after the train cutscene.You play as Carlos, in the police station, go back to Jill only for a boss fight against Nemesis Doggo, and the game sends you back to Carlos. What is this construction? What is this narrative choice?This part should have been the park and the clocktower, with Nemesis still being humanoid but damaged. I swear, something is missing. -
The early downtown areas are phenomenal and play exactly like I hoped it would. Unfortunately everything after that feels like they ran out of money and phoned it in. So much filler linear sections, chase scenes, action fluff, etc. It isn't until the hospital where it starts to feel good again but then straight back to linear garbage after that

Metacritic ranking of RE games (based on reviews and critical reception) put RE3make on 14 spot out of 27 games and I think its fair assesment. Its a decent, fun game that has some merits, but its nowhere near top RE games and a huge disservice to its source material.

Yeah, the remake is far too short and misses out key location's from the original. RE2 Remake was done almost perfect and, arguably, better than the original. But with RE3, the original is a much more fleshed out experience.

Not even close to the quality of the Re2 remake, the game isnt terrible, but its not good, its meh at most, worth to pick it up on sale because I didnt play it again, the end feels rushed and nemesis encounters (not boss fights) are pretty terrible and all programmed

Feels rushed, could have been great. Loved the end game shop. They did a really good job with the characters, other than Nicholai and Nemesis. Too much cut content from the original, felt too linear and Nemesis was just lame. Such a shame. Oh yeah and the power plant bit was diabolical.

They have really messed up with this game big time imo, I was wondering why they didn't bother to put their heart and soul in to it, its like they only had a passing knowledge of RE3 and didn't bother to do research.

I loved it and just kept on replaying it. Really enjoyable. Not as good as the remake of RE2 but still in the top 5 RE games. I pre ordered it and got my moneys worth. I do wish I took the time to play resistance

I was not a fan of the original, and I was really hoping the issues I had with the original were gonna be fixed. They were not.
the dodge mechanic is still hit and miss.
the Nemesis fights are even more of an irritant (and while you can kill him easier in the Remake, it isn't anymore fun to fight him than it was before)
the replay value isn't there. Sure, you can unlock some special weapons and what not, but there's too few areas in the game where they are actually useful, plus you get penalized for using them. This was a problem I had with the original RE2, RE3, and the RE2 Remake. Why give me all this cool shit, if you don't want me to use it? And the lack of costumes... what the hell. Not to mention how crappy Jill's STARS outfit looks. It looks so... off. And the should-not-have-been-DLC-Classic outfit is also off. There are mods out there that have revamped that costume to what it should have been way better.
the lack of additional game modes is a biggy. Not even Mercenaries in, y'know, the game that started the damn thing.
I know one of the big complaints levied at the remake is its short length. This is one of the things I liked. I felt the original went on for way too long. So, this being shorter was great, but that's pretty much it. It's a forgettable Remake that needed way more time in the oven.

I really liked it but just like 2 remake it had its downfalls. They should make a directors cut and add some length to the game.
