Tech companies now control the minds of billions

1 : Anonymous2021/03/08 07:25 ID: m0agm2

Not all of us have been brainwashed, but as far as I can tell the majority of the western world has been. The internet has been stolen from its original user base and it has been taken over by corporations and media giants who censor all dissenting viewpoints, and they actively fight any collective action that could threaten its power (e.g. nationalism, beliefs in other systems). The future looks like it will be a world managed by a relatively small number of college educated "elites" who endlessly push their propaganda onto the masses and ensure stability through thought control (google search results, facebook, instagram, etc). All of this is done in order to protect the assets of these new tech empires which now rule the world. Governments are becoming useless, because google and facebook can control who wins elections though subtle programming and control of the world's information.

Essentially what has happened is that a new form of power has emerged (tech companies, global finance), and these entities do not respect borders, ideology, tradition, or humanity. Everything will be absorbed into their realm of control, and if you rebel, the system will defame you and label you with derogatory words until you comply and bow down to their power, or they will outright censor you. Your data will be gathered without your permission, and this same data will be used to manipulate you and make you unnecessary in the workplace. Of course this is all being done under the banner of "progress", and anyone who doesn't like it is just "uneducated" scum who doesn't know any better. /s

I've seen how quickly people around me have changed in only 5 years. All this has shown me is that humans are incredibly easy to manipulate. They have very short attention spans and forget what their lives and opinions were like only years before. Just recently I watched a Hulu "documentary" on the new nude-streaming website called OnlyFans. This "documentary" was a propaganda film with endless obnoxious pop music overlaid on top of the dumbest commentators imaginable. These people sat there telling me how the future is going to be fantastic now that we can all sit alone in our rooms paying to watch naked people make breakfast. Not once was there ever any mention of the growing loneliness epidemic in modern society, or the fact that many people are forced to do this type work because they can't find a job. I feel like this new dystopian world of tech has created such a mind-bogglingly idiotic and fake version of reality, that I can barely stand to participate in it any longer. The worst part is that the majority of those around me don't really seem to notice or care.

Even posting logical critiques of this new empire is typically met with shadow banning. They are trying to make it so that any complaints will be yelled into the void. Nobody will see or hear it. They want you to feel like you're all alone in thinking this way. Our thoughts, our views of the world, and the very essence of our nature is being broken down and reconstructed in the image of these corporations and their algorithms. The worst part? It's pretty obvious that those who are building this new system don't even believe their own bullshit. They preach unity and openness while sending their own kids to private schools. They preach better treatment of the planet while pumping CO2 into the atmosphere on their vacations around the globe. It all just feels like a big ruse.

Every news article I see is propaganda. All the new songs are propaganda. Everyone around me is being brainwashed. I care about them and they call me crazy. They are basically controlled by the elites through media. I can hardly take it. I feel so alone.

That's why you gotta listen to music that's not mainstream, no propaganda in singing about smoking weed on a dead asteroid or lines from old sanskrit texts being read to heavy droning guitar ambience

You’re not alone, I promise. However, it would be really beneficial to have someone in your life (not just online) who’s on the same plane as you, who you can vent and talk about these things with. I couldn’t imagine how I’d feel without my like-minded boyfriend experiencing all of this with me.

You're not alone. I'm dealing with the same and it's driving me nuts

The average attention span is now shorter than that of a gold fish.

Your post rings true on many points. If you rebel against the so-called system, they do seem to defame you and list you on their so-called fact-checking websites, which are laughingly controlled by them.

Most people do not know how to objectively research. That's scary. They use the double 'o' company, or ask Siri. They trust whatever answer first pops up on their phones. They don't have time to dig deeper, or they don't have the energy. They aren't capable of critical thinking, because they've been fried out by overworking and non-ionizing radiation that they're bathing in.

I have empathy now for everyone around me. I see a society being hurt, whether it's intentional or not, and they don't even know they're being hurt. These are good people, they are relatives, people I care about.

I realize I can't save them or even get through to them. That's the depressing part.

I try not to think about where we are headed as a society. We're bad at predicting the future. I only try to work on being my best self physically and mentally, helping others if they want it, and being kind. We must remember to be kind.

I highly recommend that you avoid infants and children in general. I watch a 10 month old twice a week who I love very much, and when I watch him sleep and think about where we’re headed, it fucking devastates me. It’s so unfair.

You ever visit Global Research, they've got a good amount of news and info on things while generally lacking a left or right bias

what resources do you recommend for getting the facts and data?

Seriously though, agreed.

I have to say it, lol onlyfans imagine actually paying for porn when it's a free commodity. Now aside from that I gotta say you make great valid points

I deleted all my socials except for reddit, don't use the popular page just strictly stick to my own subreddits. Mentally I feel a lot better.

I feel the same way about universities. Many friends became unrecognizable after four years at a liberal college in the USA

'Control' may be hyperbolic (for adults at least) but 'strongly influence' is certainly the case.

The internet had democratizing and centralizing effects on different elements of power and culture.

It seems like it does lean more toward the power of the elite now, though.

No they dont. The trans thing is the breaking point for many. Only 5-10% of the population REALLY believe at this point.

People figured out trans is being pushed bc of all the trans in tech. Its too late.

They do mate. fb is on the privy council. CCP rights over the monarchy. when people like complain about constitutional realities, they call us nuts, the fact is no one is even aware, because they control it all.

Welcome to free-market capitalism. Whats the issue? You think multi-billion/trillion $$ aren't going to do things in the best interest of gaining more profit? Or are you socialist and what more market regulation?

Help me out here.

This is hardly free market capitalism.
