- Paramount Plus is a powerful nostalgia machine, but it doesn’t feel necessary yet
-
Is it the same as CBS All Access? I go to their site and can't even see what shows/movies are available. Am I suppose to just trust them to have stuff that I want?
ID: gq4auwtID: gq4jabtIf you scroll all the way to the bottom, there are links to the show and movie catalogues.
ID: gq4fr6kIt's exactly just cbs all access. They've announced more shows and movies but as of now there's nothing really new and exciting for paramount plus
-
I'm just waiting for the first Avatar studios production.
ID: gq3p3rmDitto.
ID: gq5z68lI think it's a movie right?
-
I'm only gonna subscribe about 6 months a year to watch Champions League matches. That alone makes it necessary for me
But I didn't expect them to have such deep cuts from their properties. Never would've thought Wonder Showzen would end up on a streaming service
ID: gq4p688I'm only subscribing on and off for knockout stages of CL, group stages, I stream whatever I want to watch.
ID: gq4k0quSerie A... Do you think it's going there or do you think it's staying on espn?
-
I can't believe there's no watchlist feature
-
They're going to have to start delivering some really strong exclusives before they take off (especially in terms of series).
ID: gq3ur33Two words: Avatar Studios
-
I’m personally fine with the many choices of streaming services. This is exactly what people wanted with cable—to be able to choose the channels they want. Only with streaming you can easily bounce back and forth without having to pay for all of them at once in a contract.
ID: gq4nxizTotally agree.
-
Paramount has produced some of the greatest films ever made (far more then disney, for example). They have made good films every year for over a century.
It’s too bad how they are rolling this out. It’s also too bad many young people don’t watch older films.
-
iCarly not the same anymore knowing Sam hated every second of it and doing it because she felt she needed to
ID: gq4pqw2You're going to need a much bigger spreadsheet to hold all the shows that aren't the same when you find out actors hated every second of it.
ID: gq59pvbPersonally rewatching some episodes the other day, it’s still funny, the script is great for the most part and still holds up still, and the acting is great. A shame about Jeanette, but just because she has trama from her role isn’t gonna stop me from enjoying this show. It’s one of the biggest sitcoms of our generation and it ran for 8 years including Sam n Cat.
Regardless, I hope Jeanette one day finds peace. Her character still gave joy to many others in life. And I hope herself is fine.
ID: gq466cqFacts. Same with the actress that played Nicole on Zoey 101 saying how miserable she was there
-
They should add a list feature
-
My gf loves the challenge so I'll get if for a couple months and see if it's in the rotation enough to keep.
-
No watchlist, no cache feature of shows/movies you've watch, and very little added material.
I swear it feels like I'm still using CBS Access with a new UI Skin.
ID: gq5fxbiThe ui is worse than CBS All Access. I used to be able to login in the morning and check the "latest full episode" category to see if something I was interested in aired the previous night. That feature is gone. I have no idea when the shows I watch air, so I guess I'll have to just periodically login in and binge watch all the shows as I think of them.
-
Clarice and Seal Team for me. Oh and I actually really like Tough As Nails. Other than that, yea not much else for me yet.
-
Totally necessary. Smithsonian Channel and 10 seasons of Drag Race!
ID: gq5tqjy14* seasons of Drag Race - they have 4 seasons of All Stars
I hope they get the international versions of Drag Race too. Maybe when All Stars 6 debuts
-
I’ll be back when new seasons of Star Trek are back. That and The Good Fight are their only originals that interest me
-
I’m not ashamed to admit that I downloaded Paramount+ just to watch the new Spongebob movie lol. But jokes aside, there just isn’t enough original content to make me want to stay past the trial. The price isn’t too bad though. I believe the lowest tier is only 6 bucks a month
ID: gq59yfxIt’s 99 cents for the first month on amazon prime, so that’s what I’m doing, so I can check out the spongebob film as well as Kamp Koral and get my nostalgia on some old shows that are harder to find, like Neds Declassified.
-
It's weird CBS All Access to me is a more valuable brand then Paramount Plus. I really have zero interest in Paramount Plus, Paramount's ego is getting in the way here, I doubt this will be good for the service. We'll see what happens, but I'm not optimistic with this one.
-
In Canada, it’s a joke... unfortunately
-
The app is bugged or something. BF and I started watching survivor earlier this year and this weekend we had to use the new paramount+ website since CBS all access app (now paramount+) didn't have survivor episodes available. We could watch other shows but not it lol
-
We got this for the NFL and Star Trek. Nothing else really to stay for. Kids might like Nickelodeon though...
-
Is this the last of the streaming platforms? Is there any big studio without a streaming site now?
-
Wish they added cops.
-
Still not paying for another streaming service. They would be better off to sell thier content.
ID: gq475afThey actually do both, you can find a lot of Nick content on Prime/Nick, a lot of Comedy Central content on HBO Max, etc. That's not just a temporary thing, the CEO said they wanted to try both strategies. Shows like the Clone High reboot could have been a Paramount+ original, but will instead be on Comedy Central/ HBO Max first
ID: gq4pt1jBetter off for you, not for them.

Yeah it’s rebranded CBS All Access + more paramount stuff
