A fantastic trailer for fans of the series and for hyping up such a highly requested character. The music choice, the dramatic finish battle at the end...it was already obvious with the amount of detail put into the rest of the game, but this really shows that the developers put lots of effort into making FighterZ a game for the fans, and if this is the last character and as a result last character trailer I don't think they could've made it any better.

ID: gq2xyulnever played fighterz and just found out what's a dramatic finish. so creators of this game made these conditional win animations (specific characters must be chosen and the right character must win, must be the right stage, must be specific move too i think?) that you probably will see 1% of the time just for Fanservice? (i think all of them are references to the anime)
that's pretty cool actually. just watched a compilation of it on youtube and it's only a handful but still pretty sick.
Reminds of me of those special intro animations in CvS2 ( (1) Capcom vs SNK 2 - Special Intros & Battle Translation - YouTube ), wish more fighting games do this

Its amazing. Even now, a decade after I saw the anime and grew up, I still get a stupid grin seeing the background music and the fights. Idk what everyone thinks, DBGT has a special place in my heart and I love it. I'll be buying this DLC purely for the nostalgia aspects, I dont even like playing 2D/2.5D fighter games.

ID: gq3kjtqAre you playing on console or pc? On pc I usually only get 2 or 3 frames of delay, which is pretty good, and rollback has a couple frames of delay built in anyway, so it's not really any different.
Looks like people don't know rollback is also delay based. It's just fixed delay instead of variable.

Y'all think they'll ever make another Dragon Ball fighting game? For me, FighterZ is basically the pinnacle. It executes on the fighting aspect well, and it especially executes on the visuals tremendously.
I just don't know what another one would do to stand out without living in FighterZ's shadow

This is the last round of DLC, and the game has done well, and ArcSys has no reason not to make another.
ID: gq41yxwI think a FighterZ 2 that just adds like 5 more characters (with maybe a very slow DLC release afterwards, because honestly there are barely any characters that would actually sell DLC left to add), actual different costumes like Videl got, more stages, a new (and better) story mode and revamps of most of the base game/S1 characters with new moves to be as cool as the last few DLC characters we got would be it.
A completely different game, though? Something very cool could be made with a 1v1 game. There already is the fanmade Hyper Dragon Ball Z which is pretty great. Or they could make all the characters stronger than in FighterZ and let you pick how many you want for your team like in Skullgirls.

SSJ4 Gogeta is such a cool character and honestly SSJ4 in general is a better transformation than god form IMO.

So tempted to try this game.
Anyone know if it is possible to play online if you have a bad ping (fibre connection, but connecting from South Africa to Europe - I get about 200ms-250ms with Battlefield 1).

I honestly truly loathe everything about Dragon Ball GT.
Only the Dark Shenron saga is a good incipit BUT the execution was horrible.
I hope the last arc of DB Super will reuse the idea of using DB for selfish desires will lead to bad consequences.

I'll admit, I still haven't played this game, partly b/c I'm not that good at fighting games, but mostly b/c I prefer my DBZ games with the third-person view ala Xenoverse or the Tenkaichi games (still upset we never got an HD collection of those). However, between the positive reception this game has gotten and the fact that it's currently on sale on the PS store for only $9.59, should I finally give this one a try?
ID: gq3t0tuBy most dbz fans this is regarded as the best DB game ever made and it's not even close. Go for it. I didn't know anything about fighting games either, but once you learn a bit it's great
ID: gq474snIf it's running for that cheap rn I'd say go for it. But if you're new to the genre I'd heavily advise finding a friend to play the game with so the learning process isn't as harsh

How does it compare with the Street Fighter?
ID: gq77ekeWell, it's a fighting game.
The basics still apply (frame data; basic strategies like cross over, punishing, etc.) But it's a very different game, much faster and with a higher entry barrier, I'd say.
It's closer to Marvel vs Capcom 3 Ultimate, but even then I'd call comparing both games a stretch.

I wish we could get a tenkaichi game like this. I love having the option for teams but I don't like it all the time and I like having free roam arenas.
I just know the marvel vs Capcom style wears me out after just a couple matches so this would only be a game I put on once every few months.

ID: gq3a065The game has plenty of non-canon stuff. Hell the game itself is non-canon. Also Super Saiyan 4 (especially Gogeta) is one of the few highlights from the show.

Well, there's 2 kinds of fans for DBZ fighting games. The people who love FighterZ and want the competitive aspect, and then as example my best friend and I who just want the biggest possible roster and have a good ol' time sparring each other like in Budokai.
We are yearning for a new more casual fighting game with everyone included.
