Best. Game. Ever.

Sorry, no fancy picture for this post.

I was a huge fan of the RE series when I was younger and played every game in the series through Code Veronica. Like many others, I enjoyed RE4 as well, but I didn’t like the overall direction if I was honest... So, I half heartedly played RE5 and never even tried 6...

When I heard all of the buzz about 7, I got back in (late) and enjoyed it. Now I finally just played RE2 remake and I was absolutely shocked. This game is amazing.

I know that there are complaints about the difficulty level and/or lack of resources, but I found that it was very well done. I can’t say that I loved being super low on resources as I explored RPD, but that was the point!

I’m on my second play through now and this is something that I rarely do (multiple play throughs).

I also picked up RE3 remake and I am looking forward to this one next.

I loved low resources.

It made me think in strategic way about every encounter. I loved it. And it made this game feel like a breath of fresh air after playing games that give you resources when you are out.

NOW what was done wrong about this game is that if you lose all your ammo and knives, you don't have a way to continue game and have to restart.

My main problem is that there isn't enough continuity between the scenarios

Oh yeah that too. And HAVING to use those 45 pistols. Both kinda suck.

Second scenario was a huge letdown.

Just an advice from other fella from resident evil community , please play re6 with friend and dont take the game too seriously you will love it

Seconded. RE6 is a GREAT co-op game. Take away the “Resident Evil” title, and call it something else, but it’s still a SUPER FUN stupid action shooter.

I’ve gotten most RE platinums but still play them all

I can't even decide if I like the remake or the original more.

I really didnt like RE2 remake and prefered re3, maybe because its always about going back in the same region to unlock 1 door you just got a key for

2 was always my favorite, and was so excited when Capcom decided to do the remake. So much nostalgia and I think they nailed it. I agree with most where lack of resources is part of this game. It almost forces you to go the long way to save those bullets or healing items.

I was most impressed with the lickers. They were touch in the OG hand and support tough now. Nothing like waking past them to advise the confrontation, then good ole mr.x decides to show up and wreck your day.

I literally just finished both campaigns in conjunction with 3 since their timelines overlap, great experience. I like the 3make, butt most people are right as it is less survival and more action, and very linear as well.

CV is next, so excited as I've never played it.

RE3R was a massive disappointment, don't go in with big expectations

Many people agree with this, but i personally loved it. Great fun, though there is less exploration than in RE2R. I'd never played the originals of neither 2 nor 3, but i highly recommend both remakes. 3R is the only game I've ever platinumed on ps4.

RE7 in VR tho, best gaming experience I've ever had.

I actually like 3make as much as 2R. The fast pacing makes it highly enjoyable to replay. RE2R has a great atmosphere and is a better horror game, but RE3 remake was more fun for me. I also really like the colour palette too. It looks great, and feels really smooth.

I have to finally bite the bullet and do 7 in VR.

Well the reason you don't understand why people say re3r is disappointing is because you never played the original.....of course you're going to love the game if you dont notice the problems the game has in the first place.

It was short, but otherwise a lot of fun.

Sadly this. Wish they wouldn't have gone streamline route.

Try metro games they are amazing. I enjoyed metro exodus much more than re2 and re3 remake. I hope re8 will be good 🙂

Re2 is amazing. 3 is... alright. Don't expect the same game and you may enjoy it, but it's WAY more fast-paced.

This is what make the remake of 2 my favorite game in the series it’s the only one that I can replay and still enjoy
