If you've only played the first two Shining Force games, give Shining Force III a try. It's in three parts (released as three separate games in Japan), it follows the same gameplay formula as 1&2 and it's an epic game.

Only the first part was released in the west, but there is now an excellent fan translation of the final two scenarios.

Saturn emulation is pretty good these days. I've had lots of success with Beetle Saturn in Retroarch.

Shining Force 2 is my favorite game of all time. This is amazing, why have I never thought of this; especially when I was playing this as an adolescent.

they're available on Google Play store, published by Sega. they even have controller compatibility, I use my Xbox controllers with my Samsung tablet to play through SF2 about once a year.

My cousin sold his SNES copy of Chrono Trigger to a store to upgrade to a new console (which, at the time, was PS1). I loved the game, and I was sad he did it, so we named all the characters vulgar names.
