It's still a horror game!

So wait when do we see Ethan become a stapler?

ID: gylq7ix

Haha. I get this joke.

ID: gym3waf

"Ah! I'm a carrot!"

Don't tell me that giant fucking baby didn't creep you out

ID: gylu9gv

I had to actually turn my lights on in my room to get through that part until the power was restored. I freaked the fuck out as soon as the flashlight lit up on it. No other horror game has ever had that effect on me before.

ID: gym4acx

Donna’s level was all sorts of messed up: the baby and Angie.

Freaking porcelain dolls O_O.

ID: gylvsse

It was late at night for me and I knew something messed up way coming, there wasn't a jump scare or anything for a while. I let out a laughing "whaaaaaat the fuuuuuu". The part that more unsettling was running away at the last sequence, hiding under the bed, and hearing the baby laughs and cries coming for me and I had nowhere to go

ID: gymce9j

I played resident evil 1 when it was new and had many moments like this.

ID: gymkiuj

Not even Resident evil 7

ID: gym7ssg

I read “flashlight” as “fleshlight” for a moment there.

Not sure if that would have been more or less terrifying.

ID: gym85kd

Just this moment finished the game and that whole sequence was absolutely terrifying. Capcom did a brilliant job on these set pieces.

ID: gyme7lq

Agreed. I've never been so happy to be scared to death by something.

ID: gymf88w

Barely even ever saw it. No way I was looking behind me for that part. Just ran to a locker and hid, then hid under the bed. It was like Alient Isolation except easier and not near as scary lol

ID: gymnchn

I had to let the baby kill me because it glutched in front of the exut elevator. It was gone when i respawned and i just walked out.

ID: gymspwa

Had to? Vore fetish?

ID: gymqc29

Yea that part was great. It was that kinda terror to where I was scared as fuck but I just started laughing out loud because it was funny that the game could scare me that good. If you know what I mean.

Gotta say, I like how the tank character that pursues you is the giant vampire lady. It's like oh shit, gotta run, but that's harder to do with this raging boner.

ID: gyl93w6

Capcom knew what they were doing with that one

ID: gymord2

Lol yeah, after all they *are* a game company from the early 90's.

ID: gyl99gz

Trying to duck down and hide...boner sticks out.

ID: gymst0e

Haha sucks for you my boner’s not big enough

ID: gylp7ka

Step on my throat, you abnormally large woman. Crush my pelvis, you buxom behemoth.

ID: gyltfl1

I'm still kind of hoping there will be an option to romance her, but that would be very atypical of a Resident Evil game.

ID: gym9fm7

Calm down Mr. Oliver.

ID: gymoc04

Stupid man thing!

5 : Anonymous2021/05/18 20:20 ID: gym26ur

It was such a god damn good game. Honestly my favorite RE entry and I've been playing since the mansion in the mid/late 90's. I love what they did with the story. Dramatics and all.

ID: gymav1n

I loved 7 more, but I adore this one. I really enjoy the path they're taking.

ID: gymoyq0

can I play it without going through 3 decades worth of games beforehand? I'd like to try newer resident evil games but I have no interest in anything before 7 except the remakes

ID: gymqlah

Yea you can. 7 starts a new story that is basically a clean slate. You don't have to know anything about the previous games to enjoy 7 and 8.

6 : Anonymous2021/05/18 16:30 ID: gyl43ll

I love this lmao

7 : Anonymous2021/05/18 16:58 ID: gyl87dy

It was hard for the game to keep my interest once you get past the vampire fly girls and the spooky crazy doll lady. Those two bits were very exciting and then suddenly it's like "Mean guy with magnet powers sends waves of bullet-sponge zombies lycans to kill you because he a bad guy"

ID: gylc8xv

I personally really liked him. Only parts I wasn't a big fan of was the giant fish. I also wish the crazy doll lady was a bit longer. They could have done so much more with her.

ID: gylcggo

The fetus was fucking horrifying, easily scariest part for me

ID: gylfd5g

I liked Heisenburg's design and all, I just feel like he should have been one of the first ones you kill since his theme feels a lot more generic than the others. I get they were going for a shooting focused segment but it felt weak to me having that after the more exciting (in my opinion) chase and escape room segments.

ID: gym4k3s

I've watched parts of two play throughs and managed not to see a giant fish and doll lady!

ID: gym0fc7

Heisenberg’s voice actor was absolute legend tier. Gimme classic nick cage magneto any day of the week

ID: gylk9nc

I liked heisenburgs axent so much it made the whole chapter just by it.

8 : Anonymous2021/05/18 16:47 ID: gyl6l4q

Literally

9 : Anonymous2021/05/18 20:46 ID: gym64xu

You’re goddamn right

11 : Anonymous2021/05/18 20:05 ID: gym016b

Resident Evil needs to end.

12 : Anonymous2021/05/18 21:16 ID: gymae6l

No they don't, I enjoy the route they're taking. It's like playable horror movies, and my wife and I get great movie nights out of them.

14 : Anonymous2021/05/18 20:37 ID: gym4qhk

Er... since the first game?

The Tyrant and the other experiments were always the end goals.

15 : Anonymous2021/05/18 21:15 ID: gymaa12

Never played the games, huh?
