Doth my eyes deceive me? Does Claire have a string connecting to Antarctica, as well as pictures related to the event there? There are pictures on the map where Rockfort is supposed to be, too, off the west coast of South America. I can only hope this means I'll FINALLY get a bone thrown regarding the events of CV, even if it's just Claire mentioning it in conversation (though a flashback would be more welcome). Probably means nothing, but I can dream.
Edit: Interesting observation: the tyrant seems to have retained its intelligence, and its heart is exposed like Nosferatu. Also kind of has an appearance similar to Steve in his monster form. Wonder (though highly doubt) if T-Veronica is going to tie into it, in some way.

It looks like they took Nick’s likeness for Leon. I can’t help but see Nick’s face when I look at Leon. Sold on his voice acting too, the first trailer didn’t sell his voice too well but now I’m 100% down.

ID: gyrzfxeThey have confirmed the president involved is President Graham, i.e. Ashley's father! Will definitely be interesting to get more of that lore. And given that it seems to mostly be set in the White House, it's a fair assumption that Ashley will be in it at least somewhat

I’m going to be really annoyed if they pull another Resident Evil Degeneration, and have Leon & Claire on separate storylines for 95% of the movie. Is it wrong to want the characters I like to actually team up with each other instead of with more randoms??
ID: gypy3syUnfortunately this is something capcom has never got right with Leon, Claire, Chris, and Jill. Put two of them in a game/movie together and they're never with each other most of the time. At least Darkside Chronicles got something right.

Let's just hope Claire doesn't get sidelined into "helpless detective" role again like she was in Degeneration while Leon gets to have all the explosive action along with Angela Miller's asian clone.
ID: gysxstcshe literally gunned down zombies swarming the elevator she came out of, all while having a broken leg. She got a bit sidelined, but compared to Leon who was a super-agent at this point, that's plenty of action.
ID: gyuk4t4I remember the elevator bit, but I actually don't remember her getting any zombie action right after the elevator. All I know is that she gets into some surveillance control room right after that. Idk, my memory might be rusty I haven't watched Degeneration for a long time.
Still though every time Claire stars in something she always gets sidelined during the climactic final half in place of someone else.
In the original RE2, Leon was the one who had to dangerously trek the train above to get to Sherry while Claire stalls Birkin.
In Code Veronica even though we play 3/4 of the game as Claire who was in the "rescuer" role searching for Chris, he steals the climax as he fights both Alexia and Wesker while telling Claire to run so that he can have his knight in shining armor moment while Claire looks like a helpless damsel (which she's not). In the end, Chris was the rescuer
In Revelations 2, Claire gets into a similar moment again with Barry stealing the scene, but at least Claire gets to shoot the final rocket against Alex Wesker. Still, though the Buttons take center stage and Barry is the big hero, while Claire is the trusty and dependable sidekick in the background.
Hopefully she gets equal action screentime with Leon this time around instead of having to be in the background doing offscreen things while the other protagonist eats up the final action scene. At the very least, hopefully they don't treat Claire the way they treated Rebecca in Vendetta -- a helpless princess in need of saving.

So strange hearing the two new VA’s voicing aged up and different faced versions of the characters. I think part of it is that these films are still .. I unno, it’s all ‘canon’ right. But there’s a clear stylistic difference in the games RE7 on, while the CG films still feel like they’re RE4/5/6 (6 especially) toned/art directed, and it hurts my brain trying to reconcile RE2 Remake Leon (who’s my favourite interpretation of the character, followed by RE4) with what we see here.

It is so weirdly backwards. Just makes me miss Paul Mercier all the more(Leon’s RE4 original voice actor).

This trailer makes it seem like they're making it Degeneration 2.0 where there's two different scenarios with Leon investigating the hacking incident while Claire does her own conspiracy thingy. Shen May even looks like she's going to be Angela Miller 2.0 but Asian. I hope those are not the case. I want Leon and Claire to actually work TOGETHER instead of having them in two different scenarios. I also hope they don't make Claire a "helpless detective damsel in distress". She has killed a countless amount of Bioweapons ffs. I hope they do my girl Claire justice.
