I honestly wish they would just keep adding more maps to MK8DX
Also, I want to play the n64 rainbow road with 3 laps please. I'm sure not everyone will want that but it's my favourite track and I'm down for a long race once in a while.
I wish they'd just add every map from every mario kart into MK8DX, I'd even pay for the DLC if they go that way. The game is perfect otherwise
ID: hah4ha8Yeah the next iteration of Mario Kart should be Smash Ultimate style, every racer and every map from every entry of the franchise.
I'd also say bring back the dual racers and special item system from Double Dash, but I know some people wouldn't like that.

Mario Kart 8 was only released twice because the first system it was on didn’t sell. GTA5 has been released a zillion times.

At this point, I’m convinced that GTA 6 is like 98% complete and has been for a while but they’re just holding it hostage until the GTA 5 milk runs dry

ID: hagir0hEvery Rockstar game has been all hands on deck since Max Payne 3 got stuck in development hell. With the increasing scope of their games they don't have enough people to run two projects at once anymore.
The only option would be to rapidly double the size of the company, and that is how you get a Mass Effect Andromeda/Anthem situation where both teams shit the bed.

ID: hagr1j7Nope, GTA games are "events" that have a huge influence on Take Two's share price. They're going to announce it two years in advance and drip-feed info until maybe 3-6 months before release, at which point we get full gameplay footage.
At every point in that two years, new GTA 6 news pumps the share price.
Take Two aren't going to drop a game on us. And they weren't going to start developing GTA 6 in earnest until their projections said GTA V revenue would dry up in ~5 years' time.

I find it kind of hilariously ironic that two of the most popular open world games out there (Skyrim and GTA5) are both games that are the 5th installment, fans desperately want a sequel, and both sequels are likely still years out.

ID: hahece4I'd be happy if Rockstar put some of the online additions into single player. Or straight up give us single player DLC. Imagine Michael chilling on a huge yacht with his family having a chance to spawn on it.
Also give us single player car insurance. Kind of a funny thing to ask lol.

I really hope the next Mario Kart does what Smash Ultimate did and just includes all tracks across every Mario Kart game. Thats a game easily worth $60.
ID: hah3tduI had the same sentiment, but it was more towards making it more crossover heavy. The DLC's already doing this with F-Zero, Excitebike, Link being a playable racer, etc... but I mean going really ham with this idea. Call it Super Smash Karts or something, I dunno... but I look at Mario Kart and I can't help but wonder what's left for them to do that'll separate a new game in the series from all of its other entries.

I want a new Mario Baseball!!! The fun RBI baseball type games seem to be a thing of the past.
ID: hagnqvnI would LOVE a new superstar baseball with all the newer characters, but I worry that it'd be like the tennis game where everyone has "special moves" that are just different animations and the exact same effect.
ID: hagywiiTry Super Mega Baseball 3 or even SMB2 if it's on cheap for a cheesey graphics but incredibly well made baseball game! Highly recommend.

ID: hagy9cvWouldn't be surprised if MK9 revisits this idea. It was a lot of fun and jibes nicely with the sort of quirky, joyful, cooperative vibe Nintendo seems to enjoy exhibiting in its games.

GTA5 got old the moment I realized the updates were for online. Also several additional points in comparison with Saints Row 3 regarding the laughable garage, underwhelming car modification and other things.

ID: hagfkpeFor some reason I enjoy MK DS, Wii and 8 (deluxe actually), but there's something about 7 that just.. isn't right to me. I don't like 7 and I just can't pinpoint why, it's not fun to me and the characters in it are boring to me.
Wii and Double Dash are the most enjoyable Mario Kart games to me. 8 Deluxe is fun to play every now and then but I don't have the online to play with other players. :/

Mario Kart is at least demonstrably different from game to game and has years-long gaps between entries.

ID: hagxj03Well, the Switch version came with the DLC content, along with a few new characters, karts, items, and an entirely revamped battle mode, as well as several qol improvements.

ID: hagrjz8MK8 was originally realeased in the Wii U, with the DLC's sold separately. The deluxe version of the Switch includes those.
