I still think that it's a ruse and it doesn't signify marriage. There is no historical information to back that up. Knee injuries however up to this day put people out of commission and in the medieval times even more so because of extensive foot traversal involved in warfare. Furthermore, being assigned to guard duty was a form of demotion unless it had a valid reason like an injury. It's a rumor that started on the internet. I am pretty sure I saw devs say that it doesn't mean marriage. I mean it's possible I won't dismiss it. But I find it hard to believe that Nordic warriors got on their knees to ask for marriage. Seems too corny of an act to perform even today. But I don't know I guess it's possible.

This is my friends and family in a nutshell.

Dad got Covid, so I can't see him

Friend got Strep Throat, so he can't go see his immuno-compromised family (He's living away from home for the first time)

Another friend has something (waiting for covid test in the mail) and can't go to the Arizona Football game tomorrow

Best friends aunt was just admitted to the hospital with a blood infection, so their Christmas is cancelled (said aunt was going to host)
