- Horizon Call of the Mountain Revealed for PlayStation VR2
-
I don’t know I will be playing game or sightseeing
ID: hrb8opiID: hrbe9ag“Created for PlayStation VR2, this unique experience has been designed to push hardware technology, innovation, and gameplay.”
Key word, “gameplay.” That may not mean much, but they are making too big of a deal about this for it to just be another “Spider-Man Homecoming VR” or fully on-rails experience or such.
ID: href8enOh I fully expect this to be the free hardware demonstration software to show off headset capabilities so that they can say it's not our headsets fault that devs can't into quality VR games
ID: hrbc8soNew vantage points you say?

I hope Sony gets so,e of the Oculus titles ported over. There have been some good games created on that platform, like Medal Of Honor and RE4 VR.
ID: hrdfg2efacebook bought exclusivity for RE4
ID: hrer666Fuck. That means I gotta hope valve index drops in price or I sell out to the shitberg. God I hate exclusivity deals

My motion sickness is ready.
-
Expect to climb a Tallneck at the very least. Climbing mechanics are ubiquitous in VR.
-
I hate my motion sickness.
ID: hrbwvkaHeadset feedback can be used to lessen the effects of motion sickness, hopefully Sony will utilize it in addition to immersifying the experience
ID: hrbqte7Same issue here. Love vr, just can't get my legs
ID: hrc40faIt will get better the more you do it. I now can jump over hills in Dirt rally without getting motion sick. just stop when you get motion sick and start again the next day.
ID: hrd6vytAome people are just more sensitive to motion sickness. Hell, I get extreme motion sickness when driving gokarts. I’m fairly sure I’ll never ”learn” to use VR unless technology advances to reduce or even eliminate motion sickness somehow.

Let’s gooooooooooooo
-
Portal in VR2 would be totally mind bending!!!
-
Probably like Vader Immortal level of gameplay, which would be really cool. Great way to get people in.
-
Really looking forward to PSVR2, but Horizon is probably the Sony IP I’m least interested in. I think a new game in the world of TLOU would be awesome for VR.
-
Cant wait for an on-rails amusement park experience.

Looks interesting but PSVR 2 has a LOT of competition when you compare it to the Quest 2.
EDIT: Talking from a hardware perspective. To be competitive the PSVR 2 will need a similar or better FOV than the Quest 2 and pack similar or better displays. Tracking will be important too if they do it with just a single camera, inside out tracking or have something similar to lighthouse
ID: hrax072No fb account requirement, that's a win for me and psvr 2 in my opinion .
ID: hraxt6oCan you access the porno sites on the psvr2?
ID: hrb6d76You don't need an fb account for Oculus anymore.
Edit: I have now found out that this is false so I'll proceed to downvote myself.
ID: hrb4bzoIt has inside out tracking using cameras on the headset. It also sounds like it'll have similar haptics in the headset that the controllers have AND eye tracking
ID: hrazwacThe fact that it's using a PS5 to do the heavy lifting instead of a mobile processor means it already beats the Quest 2, hardware-wise.
ID: hrb7c0pThe quest 2 graphics are very limited. The new controllers makes PSVR2 complete system. Wireless is cool but i don't mind a single wire.
ID: hray13mWith Sony making every game past a certain point compatible with VR2, there’s no competition.
Ghost of Tsushima 2 or Spider-Man 2 in full fleshed out VR? RIP.
ID: hrb546nI can imagine the projectile vomiting that VR webswinging will induce.

Probably won't come out on Steam then?

Most likely sightseeing. The word “experience” (almost?) always means “not really a game”
