ID: gqqxac7In all honestly, while it would make grinding in the demo a bit easier, it's just something I thought of as a "nice to have" since the side missions were marketed as replay able for loot. I wouldn't expect it to be some top of the list thing by the devs by any means, just a quality of life feature or rather possibility.

If they implemented it now during the demo, then people would assume/demand they did it for main gameplay, which I hope to God isn't part of the endgame or anything to do with any type of grind at all.

Just a point to consider:
You can't replay it from there because you haven't finished it yet - you haven't finished the quest til you update the quest giver and they give you the quest reward. Replay suggests you've finished the quest.
ID: gqr3tu9A friend brought this point up to me actually since I posted this, his suggestion/our brainstorming lead to thinking if a "replay mission" option was available it'd either complete the mission and give rewards or pile the rewards at the quest giver. If the mission is already completed previously though, it really doesn't seem necessary to view both an opening and ending cinematic that the player most likely would skip anyway.

The question is would it ever actually be an issue if people were not endlessly farming one mission in a demo? And I kind of doubt it which is why it probably never came up.
ID: gqqp8dwOh I'm absolutely sure it didn't come up otherwise I'd imagine that it would be implemented if it could, I just bring it up since replay able side missions was something the devs mentioned in their dev diary series. I'd think if their intended to be replay able and farmable, it's just he nice to skim over the intro again and get right to the gameplay.

I really think we'll change our minds when we get the full game. It serves it's purpose; opens up the map just like the flag "checkpoints". We can go back to camp, you could go do a second mission etc. I really don't think it's a useful idea outside of the demo. Very few people are going to want to replay a mission, unless it's from trophies or the in-game accolades. There's a huge story to get into.
ID: gqr53tdWhile I agree with your points, I see it more of a "nice to have" since the side missions are replay able and give rewards as of the demo and mentioned in their dev diary videos. since it's intended, there just really doesn't seem like a reason for the cut scenes and extra walk between for purposes of gameplay. Exactly how often it's come up in the full game I don't know, but the side missions will still be replay able far as I know, so just a nice to have.

it'd just be a lot nicer if these would drop you off next or just closer to the quest giver. redoing the quest to kill that Captain from the cutscene is easy because you have like 5 second of running to turn it in and then the entrance is right beside you to replay it, whereas if you accidentally kill everything in Terra Infirma (or are just replaying it normally constantly) you gotta then do a 30 second walk, turn it in and then do another 30 second walk then a travel load screen to get to the start of it again.
so while i do see the benefit of having this be able to turn in and repeat the quest, it'd be good enough if they just dropped you off next to the quest giver
ID: gqr6dr5Another possibility yeah, I like that idea too I suppose. If a player wants to replay said mission then, they still would have to skip over the dialogue to claim rewards, start the dialogue again to restart said mission, walk and then load into the quest area. A "replay mission" option would hopefully skip over all of that. Clearly as you stated it would be more beneficial for a side missions like terra infirma as opposed to payback, but the dialogue and seemingly extra loading are there still. Maybe what I'm suggesting isn't possible though, I'm not a programmer so I don't know, just would be nice to have.

I think instead of this you could just restart a mission, after first completion, from the starting area. Adds a bit for people wanting to grind, but at least I could see it being a nice thing in the full game.
Like I'm in an area and see a side mission that I enjoyed the first time and want to run it but not enough to want to go find the npc to get the quest.
I know they probably won't change it as most players aren't going to grind side missions unless there is a specific reason. But having an option there never hurts anything.

Assuming you mean the point would give you a choice between "replay" and "shortcut back to town", yes. I see no downsides.
If I had to choose one, I'd want the shortcut since I can take a peek into the shops between runs.

I see where you're going with this idea and think it's not bad. Since we have to turn the quest in though, they would also have to adjust the reward part at the end too to remove the turn in, which would be unlikely for them to do I would think.

I don't think we are meant to repeat early campaign content in this manner, for endgame it probably won't be as short content "hopefully!".

I feel that’s a very ‘demo specific’ thing given the current content.
It’s not bothering me as my most efficient loot grind involves killing Gauss and looting his chest before resetting, no travel required and from the runs I’ve done that chest is guaranteed at least 1 blue.

i'd also like it if there was a teleport point near Shira so you don't have to constantly take the slog back up and down whenever you've got a quest or side-mission from her

It's a demo.
Some people are treating this like it's some mandatory pre-game training exercise that must be fully exhausted of all its gear and benefits before starting the actual game.
I mean—play however you want. But for me it's just what it says it is: a demo giving a taste of what the real game will be once it's actually released.

the game is not meant to replay any story mode. endgame involves no reused content.

I hope the main game has alot of improvements over the demo. I may wait awhile before picking the game up I'm glad I got to see how the game is with the demo. I really wanna wait for reviews for the main game to see if anything has changed there is alot of improvements they could do. Cover system is weird,shooting is stiff and no feedback really. Overall character movements,co-op chat, need better settings too. Just alot of things I hope they fix.

No, game design isn't focused around a demo and unless there are specific rewards I won't be replaying anything other than the end game content.
ID: gqr7vt0While I accept and understand that you choose not to replay any content other than the endgame, I am not simply speaking about the demo but the game itself. The side missions were and are marketed as being replay able for rewards in game, it would be nice to have a faster route at replaying said content for either myself if I so choose or others. It's entirely possible such an option exists or is planned for the full release, or it may not be, in either case, the option would be nice if it's possible from a technical perspective.
