Man I really want to get these party packs but here in Australia they're like $40 a pack. Just can't bring myself to shell out that much considering the two I've got, I play 3-4 games out of the 9 or so on there once every 5-6 weeks with some mates. They rarely go on sale too.
I wish they'd sell the games individually, with maybe a free trial round to get an idea of the gameplay. I'd likely have bought the games I actually liked and given them my money.

ID: grl05xrYeah this the PS sub but...you can get decent sales on PC (aside from #7) and pretty much any computer can run them. Got all of 1-6 for i think about $100 earlier this year

been playing ‘you don‘t know jack‘ since 1999 and the jackbox party packs since 2015, loving it.

Yes! Every Party Pack contains five games, and The Jackbox Party Pack 8 will be available on the same platforms that our prior packs are currently available on.
According to the article, looks as though it will be.
They really need to make these all one single game with each pack as DLC so that all the games will be visible together in one interface. I got the first three and loved them, but haven’t gotten any since because it’s too annoying to close and open a different program every time I want to switch games.
I only really enjoy You Don’t Know Jack out of any of the games which I believe are on Jackbox 1 & 5? I’m surprised how well the original holds up — anyone know if #5 has the same host and quality of gameplay?

I used to play jackbox all the time on ps4 by streaming it to friends but until ps5 fixes the bug that always broadcasts your speech in the stream it's kind of unplayable.

The only game worth playing on these is YDK jack I remember playing those in the early 2000
Thought about buying an older version of this. But most of the games are 3 players or more. I’ve only one person I play with (local) and so is there even a point to own these games if most require 3 people?
I thought the games with mobile as controller (knowledge is power, chimparty and the likes) couldn't be played on ps5? Can anyone confirm or say otherwise?
Thats not how jackbox works. You're playing through the browser of your phone via Jackbox' servers.
I’ve been playing PlayLink games using my phone on my PS5, so I don’t think that’s the case.
