- 100 Days Since Cyberpunk 2077 Was Removed from the PS Store, and Mysteries Still Remain

That was 100 days ago??? Holy shit
ID: gsk6z4kID: gska4ugThis is me but with weeks instead of days.
ID: gskdv4mI swear, the older I get, the quicker stuff goes by
ID: gskpsx1Because every year a year makes up a smaller portion of your life, goddamn perspective
ID: gslbza5not sure your age, but it gets worse, i'm in my late 30's and now if its like oh that thing you want or to go see doesn't happen until July of next year.
when i was a kid, waiting one season felt like eternity. now i'm like, oh shit, i'll just focus on work a few days and yeah, it's been a year.
ID: gsktp9kI remember when it was still 100 days until cyberpunk released
ID: gsl5vfsMe too. And remember when it was still 100 days again until cyberpunk released?

There’s no mystery this game needed at least another year of dev time if not more.
ID: gsis53wConsidering it’s almost been four months and they haven’t improved or added anything substantial, one extra year of development time wouldn’t have done much.
ID: gsiqk3wMore than anything they shouldn't have released this on last gen consoles. One can only imagine how many developer hours were wasted and how many corners were cut in order to shoehorn it on PS4.
ID: gsiqy8dThing is, pretty sure this CP2077 announced when the ps3 was current gen. This is why I was pretty unhappy with the excuse video they put out about ps4 being an issue.
ID: gsiz5vwI’m not sure how to feel about this talking point.
They announced the games for last gen. That’s what they started building the game with in mind. Additionally, most major 3rd party games are cross-gen during the first year or so of a new console cycle.
I think this goes to show how deeply shortsighted and fucked up their dev process was. They didn’t even understand the scope of their project when they announced it for current gen. Whenever that assumption was made is when it all went wrong.
ID: gsj67doThat’s the console they designed it for! The game was announced before there even was a PS4!
ID: gsk8m8gI don't understand why people say Cyberpunk can't run on consoles when games like Ghost of Tsushima, God of War, Red Dead 2, Days Gone, Last of Us 2, all ran perfectly fine (for the most part) and looked amazing doing it. I mean Days gone would sometimes have 50-100 characters on screen but Cyberpunk can't keep NPCs from disappearing into the sky or textures to load properly and can't even get cops to drive cars and chase you? Nevermind all the other little things missing that have been common in open world games for nearly 2 decades, like the ability to shoot tires, animations for things like eating food, NPCs that say more than 1 line of dialogue and can walk around obstacles, etc. I mean CDPR promised "over 1,000 NPCs with their own daily routines" but you pull a car in front of any NPC and they just turn around and walk in the other direction. Like if they were going to work they would have to call out because a car pulled in front of them and they couldn't just walk around it lol. The game is downright embarrassing and I don't think that it will ever get better. Sure, they'll patch the bugs, but the game is so hollow, empty and lifeless that it doesn't matter. I wish there were no bugs so reviews could've focused on what a pathetically mediocre game it is to begin with. And it hurts for me to say that because TW3 is my favorite game of all time and I truly believed cyberpunk would be just as good because of the promises CDPR made. But they deliberately lied and misled gamers and the media and I do not think they should be rewarded for that.
ID: gsj8pj2This comment comes up every time... TW3 sold more on PS4/XB1 than on PC, nobody is gonna miss such big potential sales

Plot twist, PS+ April game is Cyberpunk 2077 xD

I enjoyed my playthrough on the PS5, not nearly as good as I expected it to be, but fun nonetheless. The crashing every 1-2 hours along with the heap of typical open world bugs was a massive immersion killer though. My last crash literally occurred while the voice mails in the credits were playing. Nothing to kill the end mood like having to reload and listen to the stuff I just heard lol.
ID: gsi62w0Crashed during credits too and I had to replay final mission. Ended like it started I suppose.
ID: gsj3kxqSame here on PS5. Crashed during the mission, then crashed again during the credits.
ID: gsisk0dMine crashed during the credits too. It wasn't the first time I had seen them, though, but it was the last time. That was the final ending I needed for the platinum then it crashed immediately after. If I had trophy screenshots on, my platinum screenshot would have been an error screen. I thought it was the perfect sendoff for it.
ID: gsihvc9I stopped playing on my PS5 because it crashed every time I sat down to play it. I’ve been waiting for them to stabilize it some more
ID: gsk9wd5Did you try playing while standing?

Such a clickbait. There are no mysteries. The game remains as broken as it was 100 days ago. There is 0 reason for Sony to bring it back to the store.
-
As someone who managed to give this a go on PC, this game genuinely feels like an Early Access game. Not unfinished, not unpolished, almost alpha stage Early Access.
Sometimes enemies don't register damage and you have to restart a save, visual glitches completely break the immersion, npcs are just there to give the appearance of a city being populated rather than actually live in it, the main story missions are short and ultimately forgettable.
This is coupled by how the game is unsure if it wants to be an RPG, Shooter, Looter Shooter, Open World Sandbox, or Immersive Sim. There are elements from each genre and boy they mix as well as milk chocolate and chicken.
Doesn't matter if they patch it up to an acceptable level; the end of the day you got a mediocre product.
ID: gsk5mk4this game genuinely feels like an Early Access game.
We have term for that. It's called Early AAAccess.

The only mystery is the amount of ball washing CDPR received for years from the internet and every game publication.
At some point it became a stupid competition to see who could say the nicest things
ID: gsjtvwuJust about every publication out there is just working to drive traffic. CP2077 is perfect because they get traffic from the hype and traffic from the fallout. Just like the publishers who continue to be rewarded for their shitty practices, all of these companies will just race to the profitable bottom.

I can’t believe this game is still early $50 new.
ID: gsi6qr1In Romania, you can get it for 20€ now on most major retailers. I assume is the same in other European countries. Surprised to hear it is so expensive still in the USA
ID: gsit35vWhere I live some local stores started to bundle the game with a ps4 or xbone
-
Best refund I ever had for something.
-
100 days already? Oh god this year is escaping me
-
Also IGN: Cyberpunk 9/10
ID: gsiyb6zIGN actually revised their a week later, only reviewer to do so actually.
-
That IGN video review still pisses me off.
When it works, it’s a fantastic RPG.
No.
No, it is not.
-
Still sitting sealed in plastic on my shelf awaiting for the day it is actually ready with the next gen upgrade and all. Pre-ordered through a sale (still stupid!), it will at very least make a good conversational piece sitting on my shelf in it's wrapper 10 years from now.
ID: gsjbehuSame. Even bought the hardcover strategy guide. Never even opened the game.
-
Honestly I’m still kinda heartbroken with the outcome of this game. Cyberpunk hype was one of the few things getting me through quarantine (im sure im not alone on that statement) so seeing it come out, and then seeing it be a quite literally unfinished game, just made me super upset and depressed :/ still haven’t bought it, don’t think I will anytime soon.
ID: gsjrvevHope you get out of this depressed state. This definitely sucks for a lot of people, maybe try checking out some old games during this time.
-
the game still trash …
-
For those of you who decided on refunds,Are you going to buy it again when the next gen version is released?
For me personally from what i played i was not impressed even if there wasnt the bugs etc
Just curious on what the general views on here are
ID: gshxcqdSame boat as you. Even without bugs, it just felt like a pretty boring open world unfortunately so I don’t think I will.
ID: gsi0lu9Lifeless. The world was completely lifeless.
ID: gsiihsmMany people focus on the bugs and crashes as if the game wasn't average, lackluster, repetitive and lifeless. Even if they fix those i still wouldn't get it.
ID: gsi09oaNo. Even without the bugs and crashes it was a very mediocre game
-
Claiming PS4's hardware as an issue is such a dumb ass excuse - They should try RDR2, TLOU2, GoW !
ID: gsjzw3eI still think RDR2 is a video game miracle. How that game works is simply incredible to me. I don't think it's the best game ever made... But it is the greatest game ever developed if that makes sense.
ID: gsk02heExactly ! Rockstar has developed it's RAGE engine to another level
-
It's pretty embarrassing they haven't even fixed the constant crashing yet. Once they do I will probably try it out

Lol that was my exact thought! I'm literally shocked! And that was around when a new phase of lockdowns happened in my country. And I feel like I accomplished nothing in 100 days.
