Starting today, tune in to Apex Legends streamers to earn Community Created loading screens via Twitch Drops.
Hey there Legends,
As mentioned earlier this month, the Legacy update brings with it a new cosmetic category—Community Created. This Season’s Community Created items include six loading screens, which will be earnable starting today.
Loading screens will be available one at a time over a Tuesday to Tuesday, week-long span.
Each of the Drops will be linked to ten different Twitch streamers week to week. Be sure to keep an eye out on the official Apex Legends Twitter account for who to watch each week. Mark your calendar for the following drop dates:
Loading screen 1: June 1 - June 8 Loading screen 2: June 8 - June 15 Loading screen 3: June 15 - June 22 Loading screen 4: June 22 - June 29 Loading screen 5: July 20 - July 27 Loading screen 6: July 27 - August 3 SETTING UP YOUR ACCOUNTYour Twitch and EA Account need to be linked while you’re watching the streams.
Make sure your Gamertag, Nintendo Switch Online Account, or PlayStation™Network ID is linked to your EA Account. Already connected your accounts but not sure which one is linked? Find out which account is linked by following these steps. Now let's get connected. Go to Twitch and sign in or create an account. Make sure you’re logging into the Twitch account where you want to watch the streams and get rewards. Enter your EA Account info on the Connect with Twitch screen and click Next. LET THE DROPS BEGINOnce your account is set up, sign into your Twitch account and watch the folks we’ve designated as flagged for drops each week. Be sure to follow our official Twitter account to find out who to tune-in to week to week.
You need to have an EA account. Twitch Drops are available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Origin and Steam Players will receive Twitch Drops rewards based on how much they watch. You’ll see your reward in-game within 24 hours of the event the next time you log on. HOW TO EARN THE DROPSThere are a total of six loading screens available throughout Apex Legends: Legacy
Each load screen will be available one at a time and for a 7-day period
To earn each screen, be sure to watch one of the designated Twitch streamers for one consecutive hour (switching between streamers for an hour won’t count!).Et voilà! You are now the proud owner of a Community Created load screen! Start watching today for your chance to earn rewards.
ONE LAST THINGOnce you’ve earned a screen and decide to boot up your game to go admire the artistry of it, you’re going to notice an odd redemption message that pops up. The title will still read “Twitch Drops” but the image displayed will be one for the Apex Legends Global Series and the copy will simply read “Unlocked.” Dismiss this and rest assured that your shiny new loading screen will be available for you to equip.

If I link my twitch account will I start getting teammates when I solo queue?

Lmao, loading screen. Thank god I only have like a hundred of them.
ID: h11n5vmThey are great for lore bits.
-
All the comments asking "why'd you add loading screens instead of making the game good?" have a very clear and accurate idea of how game development works.
-
I thought this was really cool and I hope it blows up more
Y'all are hella salty
ID: h1hy2imMy only hope is that they broaden it, my favorite apex streamer rn is a small one. I’d just prefer to watch him due to being able to interact with him and all that vs a big streamer. Dgmw, I like a lot of the streamers on this list, I’d just rather watch my favorite one in my off time lol
-
Yippee more loading screens... my favorite thing to unlock.
ID: h0awuqtAt least loading screens stay out of loot packs, unlike the ugly pack fillers that are weapon charms and holosprays.
ID: h0bvvw1The day they add legendary loading screens to packs is the day I stop playing, fucking things are bloated with enough garbage already.
ID: h07nxaeWell, there is going to be more other than loading screens, because the apex devs want to "bring the community into apex".
ID: h07otx7I would hope that they have more planned than just some loading screens. I sound salty but actually do think it’s cool they’re trying to give some of the streamers a better chance at getting their name out there, I just don’t think loading screens are going to get people hyped at all.

Anyone else terrified to link or connect anything regarding your EA account? Way too many problems in the past with accounts being banned or locked and deleted, heirlooms and skins being lost… kinda scary, lol
ID: h07r6xnConnecting your existing EA Account to Twitch isn't going to do anything with your items.
People were having issues because they'd unlink a gamertag from an EA Account (all items now lost) and re-link to to another EA Account without the items. Basically, the EA Account has the information on your in-game stuff, not your gamertag. Getting the loading screens doesn't involve messing with the EA/gamertag link.
ID: h07v9r0Still scares me. A while back I had gotten a Prime Gaming Pathfinder skin (Omega Point) and it was just randomly deleted from my inventory and I never got it back even when they said the problem should be fixed. That probably left a sour taste in my mouth too
ID: h09n9d0I lost all my older skins from twitch prime. So yeah, it sucks. EA support sucks even more and don't want to give me them back.
-
A whole hour lmao?
ID: h07oxgfAnd does that mean you have to do a full hour for each screen? So 6 hours total?
Yeah fuck that noise. I will never be interested in watching any of that, I barely have time to invest in Apex alone as it is and a loading screen isn't enticing enough to change that. Hard pass.
ID: h07r0kqYou can just start up the Stream and do something else though. Even if you are not opening the tab it works and adds the hours progression
-
So I've watched/been watching iiTzTimmy's stream for over an hour and i still didn't receive my drop. Yes i made sure all my accounts are linked properly. Steam version btw.

the hateboner for streamers is hilarious
-
How does one get to be one of those streamers is the big question
ID: h08ez25Luck, skill, and marketing. You have the skills to be pro, but you need marketing, you get lucky you get the right people who market you. Skill is a huge factor in it, but marketing and luck too. If you look at their entire persona or business, it's a brand and the product is the display of their skills.
ID: h08gmurI was low key memeing a bit to be honest. However, that doesn’t prevent me from appreciating you candidly responding. It’s definitely quite the endeavor to catch a look for something like this and your comment succinctly clarifies this very well.
ID: h0mgwj1They should sponsor the actual pro players in this game - it’s ALGS this week
Most of the content creators are not pros. They don’t compete and never will.
-
They just had a controversy with gifted subs and now they're promoting streamers again, not going to do any favors for themselves with arguments for favoritism. It should just be open to all apex streams for the week or apex streams at certain times.
ID: h0e7iddIt really isn’t a problem. People are trying to read into more than is there. This is just part of their marketing budget, and they’ve been clear that they don’t expect anything in return.
-
Wooooow, loading screens? Sign me the fuck up! The 400 I have already definitely aren’t enough.
ID: h088d99How about some charms instead? Lol
ID: h08uozvCould I get some more legendary holo sprays instead please?
ID: h0f5h0mIf it's the same charm with 200 different colors SIGN ME UP!

This is an awesome idea to highlight more names of the streaming community. I follow the twitch scene but had only heard of five of these people. Timmy may avg 10k viewers, but some here may be working on growing an audience of 50 or 500 and really appreciate this attention. Good for them, and i get cool loading screens.
-
Why not promote ALGS ? This is a billion dollar company ran by brain dead people, the community will grow faster and more natural if they focused on the competitive scene. Instead we get free download screens, so excited to watch my game load!
ID: h0boon2Because alot of people don't care about ALGS but might like watching streamers for personality. Some people are over br as an esport.
ID: h0lfp1zExactly this. This is the main reason Apex is shifting from BR to Arenas now with ranked coming for them soon. BR as an esport is dying if not dead already which ruins it's profitability which is what Apex ORIGINALLY wanted. They wanted a good/big esports scene.
They can now accomplish this with tuning arenas and adding ranked. Matchmaking there is still broken for now but over time it'll get tuned and eventually more attention than the actually BR. It's just infinitely more profitable as an esport (which in turn brings a LOT more advertisers/sponsors)
-
Seems like a lot of effort for a few photos that i see briefly in-between playing games.
-
Yoooo
-
First one looks great, and this is more to promote content creators than give players something.
Why ya'll so salty?
-
No, thank you.
-
What the fuck is this thread?
First off, the streamer hatebone is so fucking hard.
Second, while it can be advertising, it’s not advertising alone. They paid artists and are advertising the streamers. And then people who aren’t going to do it because it’s a “marketing strat” are stubborn.
Third, if you want to have the loading screen but think the effort is low, just put it in the background.
Fourth,”why would I watch somebody instead of playing the game” This shit is free. And the reasoning is redundant as someone who likes to watch streams will like it. It’s just not for you. They’re not making it specifically for you. Also, they’re not FORCING YOU.
-
I only watch Shiv and Wigg so I hope they both get one
Edit: RIP
-
My game account is linked and it says it’s claimed but I still don’t have it
-
i claimed my drop on twitch but i haven’t received it yet, what gives?
-
It's really cool that they're doing this for the community artists and content creators but I'm kinda glad it's just loading screens that I don't care about so I don't have to sit through an hour of random streamers streaming. If they offer banners or holos or something in the future, I'll be all over it.
-
That's nice! Can't wait to get them 🙂
Congrats to the artists!
-
Not interested, thank you
-
So what happened with the ALGS drops? Are those still happening too, or is it only the loading screens?
ID: h08jfweThey'll more than likely still be doing that once those tournaments are running again.
ID: h08k0nnThey are running.... the Championship series just started today. Finals are over on the 13th.
