- Anyone for some ATi Radeon X1900XT? My old gaming workhorse from back in the day.
-
Ruby makes the card run fast and the heart run faster.
-
Ahhhh… back to the ol’ good times when you could buy a VGA without been scalpered…
-
I too had one of these space heaters that could play games

4700 HD still round. Good old Times
-
I had one of those, I think mine ended up in a PC I built for a mate.
-
I fondly remember my first flagship card. HIS X850XT Pe iceQ agp. Hopefully whoever I sold it to in russia had fun with it.
-
I always loved how they put cool graphics on the card.
Pun intended.
-
I had a X1800XT back in the day. Same cooler, same looks. My first ever ATI card, and also my first ever high-end card. Played the hell out of Oblivion back in those days.

I still remember all of the GPU's I've ever bought... going back more than 20yrs
Voodoo II... then another voodoo II so I could do the original SLI
Voodoo 3
Voodoo 5
3DFX go out of business, I was sad... nVidia buy the company and promise to support customers.... they lied and screwed us all over and refused to carry on releasing driver updates.
So I went ATI instead ever since, until AMD bought them...(this is where it gets a little fuzzy as I was upgrading my PC every few months and GPU's were cheap and I often bought used as others bought the latest and greatest stuff, so I was always 6-12 months behind the curve) I've had the 9700Pro which lasted for years. Then as a stop gap after a motherboard failure... bought a prebuilt with a crappy nvidia GTX 260 that had to last me a couple of years.
Then AMD 5770, and soon after added a 2nd 5770 for Xfire, after that a 280X 3GB, an RX580 and now a 5700XT
Aside from that few years from around 2002-2004 when I probably went through 4 different GPU's, 5 or 6 CPU's and constant ram and HDD capacity upgrades. I remember every single card I've ever bought
ID: h8yl8kxstarted with tnt2 for better features. had voodoo to play with. Glide went open source, bypassed the 256 texture limit, and 1024? on single v2. I didn't use it for gaming, had a mini pentium junk box for lan with the voodoo2. Radeon 9000 was the best bang4buck, held out for 9800pro, then 800xt, 1900 aiw, 4870, gtx 470, 290-390, and Vega 56. AMD cpu k6-2 - athlon - athlon xp - 64 -phenom2 - intel 4770 - Ryzen 1-3.

Here's my AIW X1900, I still use it as a backup card for testing and during upgrades.
ID: h8yk69iMines on a shelf. Good while it lasted, best dx9 card ever made. Went great in Opteron 175 dfi-nf4, audigy2zs, XP 64. Peak perf/$ era, could buy real high end at reasonable prices. Then everything went console port / crysis / bad AMD products / intel/nv shenanigans. Vista/dx10 was such a joke.
ID: h8ynyenI found mine at memory express in 2006 for a ridiculously low $280CAD at the time - I think it was a pricing error. But I didn't trust the site at the time so I tried a price match from NCIX, where it was $650 and it got approved!
Haha, I also had a DFI lanparty nf4 along with an Opteron 140.
-
I just had a X1650 Pro from Sapphire
ID: h8xcdqeI upgraded from my Radeon X800 GTO to this. Unfortunately my X800 GTO was not unlockable to X850 XT specs
-
I had the AGP version.
-
Best ati card ever with the x1950xtx
-
Clever but not so clever design. It used to suck in fresh cool air from the back of your case, and blow it right inwards.
-
Sill have one of these, nope mine’sthe 50 variant.
-
Nice card how is it?
-
I so badly wanted a card with Ruby on it but all i could get was a minotaur on my 850XT PE twas a good lil card served me for 4 summer's

I thinks it’s more like a hairdryer! They put out so much heat and were super loud.
