What’s the best areas to drop on Kings Canyon for ranked this season? I’ve been trying to find spots to land and rotate.. trying to play more aggressive this ranked split but it seems like my squad and I can barely get anything going.. we mostly die in open areas or we get pinch (which is expected) just not sure how to keep ourselves alive.

Pick a spot (or two), land there EVERY game. Get your loot path and move.

It’s different every game, but certain areas are more prone to 3rd party (containment, bunker, market) than others. Try dropping into Crptyo’s radar station. Scanning the map and getting an idea of where the other squads are can really give you a good idea of where to head.

Swamps. Not a lot of people land there and a shot ton of loot

My general rule is drop on the edge of the map and not right along course of travel for the drop ship.
Ideally you land alone with two other parties landed in a POI close by for the third party. Landing edge means if you are contested, you win your fight and it’s unlikely you get third partied (of course also just watch where other teams land so you know where it may be coming from).
Also landing edge and then third partying more centrally, for example landing Rig or Broken Relay but then third partying in Capacitor is much more risky than landing Rig and third partying northern Swamps.
Ideally pick one or two edge spots where you know where the best loot congregates and go from there. Crypto map is solid because it’s edge, you can map scan, there’s a charge tower, and an explosive hold - can easily third party Repulsar with full Ults off high ground from the jump tower there.

I always go for one of the four corners. Rig, map room, gauntlet, and crash site are all excellent locations. Never land with more than 1-2 squads depending on the location. Each has the opportunity to get early KP and/or rotate to third party.
Never land close enough to a squad where you can’t rotate out if you have bad loot.
Regarding rotations, if you rotate late on KC you will be gatekept especially in higher ranks. A recon legend like BH makes a huge difference so always scan beacons (or use map room) and rotate early. Position is always more important than KP.

Rig (it's the spot with the crane and charge tower, also the big blue and yellow pipes) is amazing if you're running a rev+octane comp, drop in the middle get a gun, hit the charge tower and then rev push whoever else landed there, literally broken strat and basically free kp when someone lands there, afterwards rotate to the right side of containment to open the hold and hit up the replicator if there wasn't one at rig, after you're done with that you should be stacked with loot, just find a good position or fight to third party then after just play smart

Yeah this is helpful, it’s an easy third party as well.. it is different every game I think it’s a good start.. currently trying to squeeze diamond out of what is left of ranked this split
