Of the games that have been released since the PS5’s launch or PS4 games that have gotten a next-gen upgrade, what’s still on your to-do list?

1 : Anonymous2021/11/12 03:36 ID: qs2fr9

Recently beat Returnal (GOTY for me), R&C, Horizon, Control, God of War, and Ghost of Tsushima.

Games still on my list that I really want to play are: Sackboy: A Big Adventure, Far Cry 6, Tales of Arise, Guardians of the Galaxy and RE:8.

It’s honestly pretty exciting having so many great games still yet to play with more being released around the corner haha. I was curious about the rest of the community, what are yours?

Patiently waiting for gran turismo 7....

ID: hkc8jwz

I’m right there with you, it looks fantastic.

I haven’t played a car game since GT3 on the PS(2?), yet GT7 looks so dam good I’m grabbing it.

Demons' Souls, I have 10 hours on it but am terrible and have made zero progress after the first boss lol

ID: hkazuzn

If you're ever looking for help I can co-op guide you to the next point

ID: hkc40lr

That would be great, I've been debating asking for some help. I'm not lying when I say I'm terrible though, I really, really suck

ID: hkbcgxm

Keep in mind that you can explore all other archstones and start levelling up once you killed the first boss.

Also pay attention to which weapon type is effective against the enemies in the mines.

Otherwise it's quite normal for progress to slow down a quite a bit after the first boss. At some point you'll likely hit a threshold where you get strong enough and skilled enough to suddenly make progress in multiple different levels at once.

ID: hkbhc4b

First off I'd like to say that the levels are harder imo than the bosses. Mostly because there's no checkpoints. And if you want to make it easier for yourself I suggest you search up a guide to find good weapons that you can get early like crescent falchion which I recommend it's in world 4-1

ID: hkc3l39

I saw that was recommended, I'm just bad man, can't even make it past the stairs in the beginning of 4-1 lol

ID: hkbxmi6

People will say look up guides, but it all depends. You may not have enough time, but I feel like souls games are most fun to beat without guides for your first run through.

Souls games don't really respect your time if you are a busy person though, and if you really want to get on to other things, a guide can get you through faster, but it's not half as rewarding. And I'd say demon souls is more gimmicky and annoying to figure out yourself than the other souls games.

look up guides, helps a ton

ID: hkblhg2

Yeah guides are essential for good progress. Going in blind is a nightmare

Resident Evil 8

I've had access to it since launch thanks to a friend game sharing it with me, but I still have yet to get to it. I plan to do so soon however.

ID: hkazkfa

Have you played 7 yet?

5 : Anonymous2021/11/12 04:11 ID: hkak9oq

Kena

ID: hkc8tvc

Just one more week until physical release! Admittedly given how short the game is I’ll be waiting a week or two for used copies to go up and grab it then, but it looks fantastic.

6 : Anonymous2021/11/12 03:46 ID: hkah4pf

Wanted to play/buy Spiderman Miles Morales and the Remastered ver so bad. Still holding off until I see good deal on the store again.

You should consider 'Control'

ID: hkav11t

Coming from someone that went from ps2 to ps5, Spiderman was 100% worth the price brand new, and I'm sure you can get it cheaper now.. one of my favorites on the new console

ID: hkahztf

How could I forget control! I played it when it was free for PS+. It was such an incredible experience, I’d honestly put it in my top 5 games of all time. Edited my original post with the addition lol.

Hope you get to play Spider-Man soon it’s fantastic!

7 : Anonymous2021/11/12 08:55 ID: hkb9lkv

Waiting for Cyberpunk to be playable...

ID: hkc7of6

I’m just waiting on the ps5 version at this point

ID: hkboee4

I purchased this game and have been enjoying it

8 : Anonymous2021/11/12 06:39 ID: hkazcgi

RE8 is worth the money, I got it on sale but it's a game worth full price imo

9 : Anonymous2021/11/12 04:00 ID: hkaivjy

In terms of big blockbuster titles the last ones I have left that I'm interested in are Spider-man and God of War.

10 : Anonymous2021/11/12 05:07 ID: hkaqmku

Judgement 1 & 2.

ID: hkb1weq

Man I’m trying the first one but god damn there’s so much boring shit to do.

11 : Anonymous2021/11/12 06:37 ID: hkaz7gh

Out of your list I would say Village, looks great, good balance between action and scares with an old euro horror spin.

ID: hkb089q

I heard complaints about RE8 not being as good as RE7 due to being more focused on action and less scary. After just finishing it I think it was better than RE7 and still plenty of scary and tense moments. It also looks stunning on the PS5. Time for a knife only speedrun!

12 : Anonymous2021/11/12 04:01 ID: hkaiz22

Guardians of the Galaxy.

13 : Anonymous2021/11/12 05:45 ID: hkaui8j

Had a PS5 since day 1, still waiting for Demon's Souls and R&C to hit at least 50% off. Both are close, so I'm waiting patiently, but in hindsight I should have bought Demon's Souls months ago. Other than that, I am eagerly awaiting the games dropping in late february/early march: HFW, Elden Ring and GT7.

ID: hkbbxn7

I can agree with this 100%. I’m waiting for a really sweet deal on Demon’s Souls (and like you I kinda regret not picking it up a few months ago) but I can’t wait to play through it. Hoping the Black Friday sale pulls through!

14 : Anonymous2021/11/12 04:04 ID: hkajg9f

Valhalla; Ghosts of Tsushima; Tales of Arise.

ID: hkaolhu

Praying Tales of Arise goes on sale for Black Friday

15 : Anonymous2021/11/12 06:09 ID: hkawsfn

Sackboy, Demon's Souls Remake, The Pathless, Far Cry 6, Guardians of the Galaxy, Judgment 1 and 2, Kena, RE8; mentioned only those that I plan on playing.

Currently wrapping up Deathloop, probably in time for the BF sale. Hopefully games like Demon's Souls, Pathless and Kena will go on some sort of sale

16 : Anonymous2021/11/12 06:18 ID: hkaxkbo

I want to play silent hill 3 (ps now or pc)

Resident evil 7 and Resident evil HD

That's it for now.

17 : Anonymous2021/11/12 07:09 ID: hkb1tw0

You haven’t played FF7R? Do yourself a favour.

18 : Anonymous2021/11/12 07:50 ID: hkb4x4d

I’m interested in playing Tales of Arise but heard it kinda runs out of steam in second half, which isn’t what I want in a long JRPG.

Really wanting to play Lost Judgment, but holding off until all the DLC is out.

ID: hkbbskt

As a fan of the jrpg genre as a whole, and a fan of ToA (first tales game ever actually) I found it to be really great all the way through. I do see how people say it runs out of steam, but it was a very enjoyable experience from start to finish for me. If you do pick it up, I really hope you enjoy it!

ID: hkbxm32

I think story wise it is better in the second half because it's less routine. I hate how predictable JRPGs are.

19 : Anonymous2021/11/12 09:19 ID: hkbb5lz

I just beat Resident Evil Village and now i have nothing left :/

I could play Control, since i never did when we got it for PS plus.

20 : Anonymous2021/11/12 03:58 ID: hkaim3i

Returnal, FVII:R, Jedi Fallen Order & Control. I own all four but have not been able to complete a single one (played through FFVII:R on PS4 though, I'm replaying it at 60fps on PS5).

21 : Anonymous2021/11/12 04:00 ID: hkaiw3v

Control and Shadow of War. Amazing games I never finished, but I’m in the process

22 : Anonymous2021/11/12 04:30 ID: hkamj2q

Miles Morales, R&C, GoW; still need to finish Returnal.

23 : Anonymous2021/11/12 06:53 ID: hkb0jxq

I’m playing Kena at the moment, and am loving it, it’s got some really cool, fun mechanics

Guardians is me goty at the moment, so look forward to that

I’m thinking I’ll play RE village next, but I’ve also got red dead redemption 2 installed and wanting to play that (not sure if that counts in the games you’re including)

I’m looking forward to deaths door, which seems to be a goty contender for many people, and I also need to play devil may cry 5 at some point

24 : Anonymous2021/11/12 07:47 ID: hkb4qg2

I'm playing Guardians of the Galaxy right now, but I recently bought Deathloop for cheap off a friend and as good as new. Briefly played the first loop and I'll go back once I finish Guardians.

25 : Anonymous2021/11/12 07:57 ID: hkb5h64

Rift apart and kena

26 : Anonymous2021/11/12 08:29 ID: hkb7ssg

Demon's Souls, Ghosts of Tsushima: DC and optionally Death Stranding: DC.

27 : Anonymous2021/11/12 08:29 ID: hkb7sxt

Batman Arkham Knight really needs some good treatment. Waiting for that day to come.

28 : Anonymous2021/11/12 09:34 ID: hkbc5qv

So many. I really want to but still haven't played:

Returnal Sackboy Ratchet and Clank Ghost of Tsushima Deathloop Death Stranding Kena The Pathless Cyberpunk (waiting for fixes and true next gen version) Devil May Cry 5

Edit: forgot Jedi Fallen Order.

I'm not gonna run out of games anytime soon

29 : Anonymous2021/11/12 10:40 ID: hkbgo1z

If you have the disc version you should get a gamefly sub. It'll save you so much money and you can experience all the games. I currently have GOTG and have played RE8, RC, Returnal, AC: Vallhalla, No Man's Sky and a plethora of other titles. Shit is so clutch with this console.

30 : Anonymous2021/11/12 10:54 ID: hkbhoo6

Im currently trying to decide which game to buy next between RE 8, Returnal, ghost of tsushima or Back for Blood
