LEGO Star Wars: Skywalker Saga Confirms One Disappointing Missing Feature (Online Co-op)

I’ve seen a couple of trailers for this and it looks like it’ll be fun. I noticed Lego Star Wars the force awakens is on sale. Is it any good and would you guys recommend it to someone who hasn’t played any Lego games?
ID: hxqf2ooID: hxqmsppLEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens does have voice lines ripped straight from the movie, but also has voice lines recorded specifically for the game as well (see: Harrison Ford talking about “Wookiee cookies”).
Regardless, it’s a fun LEGO game and I do recommend it if you like Star Wars!
ID: hxqy3skLego Marvel's Avengers sucked so bad. I hated that the dialogue was from the movies. It didn't allow for anything new to be shown, not to mention the story covers the worst Avengers movie (Ultron).
I played the Marvel Collection and thank goodness Marvel Superheroes 2 was an original story

These games are perfect for online coop why would they not include it…
ID: hxqp3slThey did in Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga and haven't done again since. The smart money would suggest that the feature was barely used so they don't view it as worth the time investment.

At least couch co-op is confirmed. Wasn't clear in the trailer.

Don't forget you can make your own Online Co-OP via Shareplay functionality on the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game!

Almost none of them had it. So no surprise. Wished it did though.

At least it’s not that big of a deal on PlayStation be because you can still have online co-op with SharePlay. That’s how I played it with my friend. Worked surprisingly well but unfortunately has a 1h limit but you can simply start another session without restarting the game because second player can drop in and out whenever.

Only reason my friends and I were going to get it was to play through the saga together. Hopefully this gets enough backlash or poor sales to rethink this boneheaded move

This was the main reason I wanted to buy, I played all the old Lego Star wars games when I was younger couch coop.
Unfortunately the same friend now lives 1000s of miles away, very disappointed.

Wow. Kind of a deal breaker for me. I get it’s a kid game but I grew up with this and all of my friends did too. We’re all adults and want to play them together.

What the fuck? You can't do local coop without splitting the screen on these games. My only reason for getting this game is gone.

ID: hxrfgouYeah specially a game like this. I also play other kinds of games. Its hard to take lego seriously and is better enjoyed with a friend so we can both laugh about its sillyness. These games split the screen up for local coop which is something i don't enjoy. Online coop would give me and my buddy a full screen... so it makes no sense to me that they are omitting this feature. Disappointing is an understatement

A lot of people play these kind of games because they're fun to play with others. Not having access to do that takes away a big part of the magic and the solo experience isn't as fun.
It's like if Call of Duty didn"t have online multiplayer.

That was my deciding factor in getting the game, I’ll be passing on this game now unfortunately.

I liked it. Its like a "classic" lego game before they started adding in lines from the movies for their games. But the gameplay is just like any other lego game. The dlc is actually Canon story stuff that you don't see in the movies which is kind of neat.
