Im playing RE 2 (old) now and i intend play RE2 remake later, i will find a new challenge or the same game with new graphics?
-
Well, it's definitely not the same. It can be difficult and fun, and the story and experience overall are worthwhile. The main difference is the unfortunate loss of a true difference between the Leon and Claire campaigns; RE2 originally had paired A and B campaigns, and could technically constitute four different playthroughs going through both modes with both characters each, even though it was essentially just twp halves of the same story.
RE2R has a Leon and Claire campaign, but the storyline is the same and the differences between them are minor. However, the B campaigns for each is a direct upgrade in regards to changes made, with the two getting new weapons and both modes being harder than the first campaigns.
If you're looking for the same experience with new graphics, that's not here, though the story beats themselves will be very similar.

RE2R is fine, despite what complainers say. Ada sucked in the original, but has more personality in the remake. The original had a true A/B campaign, but the game was the easiest in the series. The remake actually has some good challenge and can be very tense.

The remake is harder, so yeah you'll find new challenges.
-
Nope. Almost a completely different story. But just as creepy

It's a completely new game, regrettably. They altered the events, butchered some of the characters like Ada, certain plot changes don't make sense, there's no ambient music, and B side is just a glorified runback of your second character playthrough.
ID: hd8y7j0ID: hd9c1ksYeah, I’m not following the critique, either. Ada is light years better in the remake. I love the FBI cover. I liked seeing that cleverness!
ID: hd90438I mean, she wasn't a mercenary, she was a spy. Mercenaries are hired arms, not espionage.
And she's nowhere near good as far as her character is concerned. She always leaned toward "sexy suave spy" because it was alluring and let men like Leon put their guard down. She has none if her original personality in the remake, which makes her a bad character iteration. She's serious, snarky, and that kiss was out of fucking nowhere because of it. The old Ada would have given a nice lead up to that moment.
ID: hd8xncgSo you’re the one person who doesn’t like it hmm.
ID: hd93bisThere's also a second person. Me.
ID: hd90bj0Never said i didn't like it, and i'm not "the one person". I'm sure others are just as dissatisfied as i am with what they did to RE2 Remake.
It's a good game on it's own, but character portrayals especially were handled far better in RE2 98.
ID: hd9k74oI'd hardly call her "butchered". That's gotta be a hyperbole, right ? lol Sure she's portrayed differently than she was 20 + years ago ,and I understand you have a preference but the character of Ada wasn't ruined because she is still at the core of it the same double-crossing spy after the G-virus sample who manipulates Leon into doing her biding.

Definitely not. Comparable, but RE2make is much more concise and bombastic.

Huh?
Ada in this game >>>>>> her past reiterations.
She actually acts like a mercenary and has more of a personality akin to one lol
