Nothing against the character she's reasonably menacing and well written but why all the attention?
-
she was hyped up for a few months but i actually don’t hear anyone talk about her anymore apart from cosplays
ID: hgw2fz9ID: hgwv1enWell yeah dude, the meme died. That happens.
-
When the blade fell in the cutscene, I thought we'd have to retrieve it and come back. Turns out after the battle she's just... gone. Done. I'll admit. I expected more
ID: hgwl3x4They should've focused more on lady d and heisenberg and either cut the other 2 lords or combine their stories with lady d and heisenberg
ID: hgx2icgYeah, it would have been cool to have Lady D kill Heisenberg (since Ethan defeating him seemed almost unbelievable). Or at least the lords turning on each other in some capacity (or on Miranda).
ID: hgwok8jI couldn't care less about Heisenberg. His entire area just felt tedious to me, the flying tank was stupid, and the whole place was complete IP theft from Frankenstein's army, which annoyed me.
Cut the content that Capcom stole, and give Donna and Moreau more time...
ID: hgwg60gWell it did it’s job, it was coated in a cocktail that slowed her regenerative abilities. Using it as a primary weapon would put you at a disadvantage anyways after it’s already stripped her of that power and you can just use firearms.
ID: hgwoa0pI think you misunderstood him.
He expected that the knife would be lost before you deal with her, and you'd need to spend another couple of hours getting it back so that you could kill her with it.
-
but why all the attention?
You know why.
ID: hgw3h3bThe simplest answers are always the best.
ID: hgwco9oIn this case 2 answers
ID: hgwo57jOccam's razor
ID: hgwklcrBecause of her huge tracts of land.
-
She’s basically the nothing villain from the easy intro level. A disposable henchwoman and honestly a victim of Miranda. But because they didn’t want to spoil much all of the early stuff focused on her.
-
Bitores Mendez was the same, he was shown for most of the trailers, merchandise, etc, but only had 2 cutscenes and was the first boss. It happens. The most menacing or appealing character is used to promote material, that's all.
ID: hgwworbAnd yet, Mendez didn't really feel underutilized the way that Lady Dimitrescu did—not to me, at least. It felt like he lasted for exactly as long as he should have. On the other hand, I would have liked to spend more time with Lady Dimitrescu, and in the castle as a whole.
-
People were captured by her striking design and vivid personality. Capcom were almost certainly using her to deliberately hide the rest of the game, since she's the first boss. Consider it taking one for the team.
I do think she's very underutilized, though. The design and presentation of her and her castle are immense but they occupy too small a portion of the game.
ID: hgwmeb0I agree, I feel like the castle should have been wayyy bigger and the factory smaller, I'd have liked her to be more of a villain tho, like I just replied to somone else here she really felt like more of a minor obstacle
ID: hgwn353Truth of the matter is Dimitrescu, her castle, and her daughters could've been an entire game by itself. I even think Heisenberg could've stood alone in a game paired with Miranda too. The other two really are great as independent bosses.
But Capcom blew a lot of creativity and didn't give enough room for these characters. Ah well.
-
Because large vampire lady with big booba.
Not saying I disagree with your point. But the meme of people being horny for her kinda drowned out all the other amazing characters in the game.
-
I prefer to think of her as under used. I had thought she would be the final boss, but her part was much smaller.
ID: hgwoesgYeah that huge castle really screamed main boss to me. It's a lot smaller on the inside.
ID: hgwfhkbThat I get and agree with
-
Her dragon form was sick tho
-
I’m right there with you. I felt like the hype surrounding her neglected the rest of what the game had to offer. She literally became the new Harley Quinn of cosplays and that ruined her character for me.
-
She is well written, good voice acting and for sure something special. But I wouldnt go further than that. One of the top characters for sure, but I guess overhype is a word to use yes. But arent all hype overhype?
-
For the hype she was given I’d say yes. It’d be different if she wasn’t hyped as this important main character and not just the first boss and then she’s done.
-
you will never be the only person
-
She's really tall.
-
The certain fan attention she receives can be overrated but I think her, her daughters and the castle were definitely the correct choices to showcase Village.
-
No.
-
Because her, her daughters, and her castle were heavily featured in like all of the Village marketing?
-
Not overrated - overblown.
-
I'd say it's a combination of most of the early stuff focusing on her and being a tall, dominant, thicc milf vampire lady with big milkers who appealed to the fetishes of some and awakened them in others.
-
I'm sure what is below her chin and above her stomach has something to do with it.
-
Easy, the massive Boobs & Butt
-
Heisenberg and the factory stole the game for me
-
She absolutely is and Capcom trolled us hard since she was barely in the damn game.
ID: hgwatnuThat was hardly Capcom's fault.
She was highlighted in the marketing because she's the boss of the first major section of the game. The fact that the internet exploded over her is not really on them.
ID: hgwaoj6She was a major boss fight and in a good quarter of the game. What were you expecting, a new Nemesis?
-
The daughters are better
-
No. I didn’t give a crap about her before and during the game.
-
I think they kinda messed the character up cause she was super hyped up before the game released like she was sort of the only boss we saw in trailers and she was all over the promotional material and then in game you enter the castle easily sneak past her then kill her in like an hour
-
She looked cool when they showed the trailer but then she ends up being a pretty minor character in the actual game.
-
Its almost a running joke people make because it was hyped in the first place. Re1 jill or Re4 ada take the cake imo
-
Because nobody on the internet knows how to let a joke die gracefully. Every meme has to get repeated endlessly until it's been run into the ground long past the point of still being funny. The "step on me vampire mommy" thing was played out before the game even actually released.
That being said, it did bring a decent amount of new fans into the fold who otherwise wouldn't care about Resident Evil, so I think that's pretty cool. And it finally caused the "Redfield bloodline" memes to die out, so thank God for that.
-
She didn’t meet up to the hype, but she wasn’t hyped up for the right reasons. Heisenberg was the most interesting character out of the antagonists.
-
Her segment of the game was the most marketed, some people like jerking off to her, other people like dressing up as her so people keen off to them.
-
Her humanoid form? Yeah, everyone just seemed to be turned on by her.
Her mutated form? That’s underrated.
