Good horror game YouTube channels?

Mostly interested in reviews/retrospective video essay type things. I like Nitro Rad a fair bit. Anything out there people would recommend?

John Wolfe is a horror-game-only channel and he's very likeable. He isn't a cheesy youtuber and has a nice subtle humor, alongside a quiet way of being, without obnoxious screams and whatnot. Others, who are friends of his and also record a lot of horror games are 8-bit Ryan and Gab Smolders - Jacksepticeye's girlfriend. These two, however, I don't watch personally and can't say much about, but they seem alright too

Thanks for the recommendations! I’ll check them out. It’s so hard to find youtubers who don’t do over-the-top screaming and flipping out when it comes to horror stuff. I appreciate the comment!

Markiplier? I found him through his horror game series but I have watched them all but he does it rarely now.

he does it frequently enough to warrant a watch each week, even his recent uploads of The Forest are pretty great.

I'd say skip Markiplier unless he toned down the phony screaming.

I like Avalanche Reviews and Ragnorox. Avalanche goes more into the technical stuff while Ragnar goes more into the philosophy and meaning behind the games. For playthroughs, i basicly just go with Gab Smolders, shes entertaining but in a very calm and soothing way. Plus shes fluent in Jap, so she gets to play many games that are Jap-only releases.

I’ve checked out Avalanche’s RE 1.5 video and this is just what I’m looking for. Thank you! I’ll check out the others too, Ragnorox sounds right up my alley as well

Ragnarox, Jacob Teller (although he's not specifically horror centric, and mostly does essays on small super indie titles), Gab Smoulders for sure, she's great 'cause she's not some over-the-top, cringe-worthy, loud mouth dumb-ass.

That’s right up my alley it sounds like. Thanks so much! As a super busy college student who also works a lot, having YouTube content like this to dig through helps me experience games in some capacity when I don’t have the free time to play them. I appreciate it!

I like LeadHead for essay type videos! He doesn’t do exclusively horror games but he’s covered a fair few!

Thanks so much! I’ll check it out.

AesirAesthetics has some good retrospective essays vids on a couple Silent Hill games and some other good ones

Oh boy, I’ll have to check those Silent Hill videos out. I haven’t played any of those games but I’ve been very curious to try them out lately.
