San Andreas just hits different. To this day I just can't get bored of it. It was way ahead of it's time.

Still gonna get the hot coffee?
ID: h92gttkAny chance they are not fucking it all up in remaster?
ID: h937bmjAnd then after all that we still couldn't fucking believe it when we unlocked the jetpack
ID: h92tmnjI loaded up my old save file and started the closest mission. Saw it was robbing uncle sam and closed the game.
ID: h92xboaCan't drive a forklift, huh?

Me: Bought all of them for PS2 and GT IV for 360, and never again.
Well, I got them for as well for PC for almost nothing and have not played them again yet.
-
I hadn't heard they were remastering the trilogy. Hopefully SA is a remaster of the original, not the port.
ID: h91aju0I just hope that CJ in SA remastered still looks like the og CJ. Just that.
ID: h92qj2gIt's not just a basic "remaster" in that sense. It's going to be remade in Unreal Engine
ID: h92ttjfThis sounds like the biggest bullshit ever, Rockstar would never change engines from their own RAGE

I know this is a very unpopular opinion but I’m only 17 so I have never actually played any of these games except San Andreas for maybe an hour or two at someone’s house. But I’m kinda excited as the graphics always seemed so old fashioned and it made me hard to get excited but if they do look marginally better and the price isn’t too high I’m looking forward to trying them.
ID: h917fbiDamn I remember playing San Andreas as a kid thinking "Graphics aren't going to get any more realistic than this". As old as GTA 5 is, it still holds up everytime I put it in, if only they can convert the oldie games onto the new engine & turn on online, Rockstar will make another half a TRILLION dollars from us.
Woooorth.
ID: h91xtddSan Andreas came out four years after the launch of the ps2. The graphics were actually pretty unimpressive at that point.
Half life 2, halo 2, and far cry all came out during the same year and had far better graphics for obvious reasons.
I think SA is still one of the better gta games though.
ID: h927xkiBut I’m kinda excited as the graphics always seemed so old fashioned and it made me hard
Same dude

As someone who started with Vice City I could never get into III. It felt like such a step backwards. I'm sure Vice City would feel the same way now.
ID: h91maevOf course it was a step backwards lol I played it again last year and couldn't get past the first few missions. It's do clunky
ID: h922z49Everything is so frágile in that game, bullets destroy you and your car in less than 3 seconds. Still great game and looking foward for the remaster.
-
GTA franchise games are really addictive. I started playing them in 2009 and I haven’t stopped till now!

I’ve only played 3 and 4. Maybe I can finally check out Vice City and SA.
ID: h92bb95Vice city is wayyy better than 3. Also you can shoot tires, unlike 3.
ID: h92klryPlus the horrific M16… god that gives me nightmares even to this day
-
I'd be really excited to see a remaster of GTA San Andreas. I was never the biggest fan of three though I never understood why.
ID: h91rhnm3 was my first GTA game and I played the shit out of it as a kid. I tried playing it again a few years ago and it is so bad. So clunky. Better as a memory, lol
ID: h92xfkjGTA 3 is more of a “you had to be there” kinda game. When it first came out it was fucking amazing and the core gameplay still holds up. The following games just improved upon it so much that it’s easier to see the faults now.
-
Does this mean soundtrack included?
ID: h937s6vI’ll buy a Vice City remaster just for the soundtrack.
-
Just got my 100% on gta san but i guess i could do it again.
-
I wonder if someone else did it too, when I first got Vice city I used it as a driving sim mostly, wasn't aware of the existence of cheat codes. I used to go at the bridge connecting the first city to Prawns island, used to wait for a big yatch, shoot the box riding it at a position that the yatch stops just below the bridge, jump on it and drive to the second city! I thought the roadblocks were just dead space and nothing existed behind them.
-
Cracks me up to think how many times I’ve bought the gta titles.
Original 3 vice city and San Andreas on ps2 Remastered trilogy on ps3 Gta4 on ps3 Gta4 on 360 Gta4 on pc Vice city on pc Gta5 on ps3 Disc on ps4, digital on ps4…..

You missed the mobile releases
-
Why make game when import game sell?
Big brain time.
-
Vice city is one of the first games I remember playing on my brother's Xbox original and man I loved that game
-
But is it facts tho.
-
Vice City deserves a remaster so badly, I can't wait!
-

Till now it feels to me as the most immersive Gta game ever made,4 was great too. But there was just so many things you could do. So many different clothing labels, dance bars, wider range of car customisation and addition of nitro boost, eating outlets and it's effect on your body leading to obesity if you take too much or skinny and do less damage with low intake, then the gyms! And the different fighting styles and defeating the masters to get a chance to learn the style, dating options and benefits, driving schools and especially the shitty flying school, rear takedown/assasinate, even night vision and being able to take vigilante jobs or be a medic and an active gang war. There is so much more to add, the world really felt alive even after having more of a Cartoonish art style
